TOURNAMENT REPORT
Preview
The Patriots welcome #8 Lyons, #11 Palatine, and #16 Wheeling for a
blockbuster six-game tournament that starts on Saturday morning. The hosts
emerged victorious from all three of their games last season to win the title,
but they should be in for quite a fight when this year's proceedings get
underway.

Allison Travetto scored 7 goals and Melissa Gartenberg recorded 5 scores
to lead the Patriots to an 18-3 win over Wheeling to start their own
event. Argelia Diaz, Elizabeth Wargo, and Theresa Godlewski each scored
once in the loss for the Wildcats.
Lyons 9 Palatine 4
Caroline Walsh scored 5 goals and both Emma Hirt and Julia Cohen scored
2 times as the Lions knocked off Palatine 9-4 on Saturday morning.
Jessie Wittenberg made 10 saves, Cohen dished out 3 assists, and Walsh
drew a pair of key ejections in the LT win. Caroline Wojtas led the
Pirates with 3 goals and Caitlin McHugh added one score in the losing effort.
Stevenson 14 Palatine 2
The Patriots earned their second win of the day after beating Palatine
14-2. Allison Travetto netted 5 goals and Annika Hotchkiss scored 4
times in the winning effort. Meanwhile, Caroline Wojtas and Caitlin
McHugh each scored once for the Pirates.
Lyons 14 Wheeling 6
Caroline Walsh totaled 6 goals and 4 assists while Julia Cohen provided
3 goals and 3 assists as the Lions knocked off Wheeling 14-6. Megan
Kotil added 2 goals, Grace Wackerman and Kaysie Stuba each scored once,
and Maddie Janik stopped 7 shots in the win. Theresa Godlewski recorded
4 goals in the loss for the Wildcats.
Palatine 7 Wheeling 5
Caroline Wojtas and Mathilde Mogenson both registered 3 goals as the Pirates ended the event on a high note with
a 7-5 win over Wheeling. Jackie Kincanon also scored once in the win.
Theresa Godlewski led the Wildcats with 3 goals in the loss.
Stevenson 10 Lyons 2
Melissa Gartenberg recorded 7 goals, Allison Travetto chipped in with 2
scores and Annika Hotchkiss put in one score as Stevenson won their own
event after beating Lyons 10-2. Caroline Walsh scored 2 goals and Jessie
Wittenberg made 8 saves in the loss for the Lions.
