BOYS

DeLaSalle 23 Mt Carmel 15

Austin Siegel scored 7 goals in DeLaSalle's 23-15 win over Mt Carmel in a MCAC contest.

 

Hinsdale Central 11 Neuqua Valley 10 (OT)

George Koulouris registered 7 goals as the Red Devils edged the Wildcats 11-10 in overtime. Will Russell scored 4 times and Kevin Patterson added 3 scores in the loss for Neuqua.

 

Loyola 19 St Viator 2

Danny Stauder and Erik Goosmann each scored 3 goals and Kyle Strobel made 7 saves and allowed just 2 goals in the Ramblers' 19-2 conference win over the Lions.

 

Morton 14 Northside 6

Danny Uphues tallied 5 goals as Morton knocked off Northside 14-6 in a nonconference fixture. Connor Gillespie scored 4 times in the loss for NSP.

 

St Ignatius 7 St Patrick 5

Jesus Juarez recorded 4 goals and Billy Barth, Max Enger, and Tom Dowling each scored once to lead the Wolfpack past the Shamrocks 7-5. Jon Gutierrez scored 4 times in the loss for Pats.

 

GIRLS

Andrew 19 Richards 8

Lindsey Tamulonis recorded 5 goals and Abbey Wrobel tallied 4 scores as the T-Bolts defeated Richards 19-8 on Wednesday. AnnaMarie Lettiere added 3 goals and 5 assists in the Andrew win. Chris Dvoracek scored 4 times in the loss for the Bulldogs.

 

Lake Forest 12 Maine West 4

Emily Nowlin scored 6 goals to help lift the Scouts to a 12-4 win over Maine West. Amy Nakano recorded 3 scores in the loss for the Warriors.

 

Loyola 15 St Viator 5

Marta Considine tallied 5 goals and Emily Levison added 3 scores to help lift the Ramblers past the Lions in a Catholic League contest on Wednesday.

 

Marian 10 Riverside-Brookfield 7

Brittany Maloney and Grace Van Beest each scored 3 times and Emily Amadio stopped 8 shots as Marian held off R-B 10-7.

 

Naperville Central 13 New Trier 2

Abbey Kerth notched 6 scores and Emily Sejna added 3 goals as Naperville Central knocked off visiting New Trier 13-2 in a nonconference matchup between Top 10 teams. The Redhawks jumped out to a 7-0 first quarter lead en route to the double-digit victory. Julia Campbell made 11 blocks in the NC win. Alexana Astor and Lindsey Siegel each scored once in the loss for the Trevians.

 

Neuqua Valley 5 Hinsdale Central 4

Courtney Taylor scored the game-winning goal in the final minute to help Neuqua overcome an early 2-0 deficit to beat Hinsdale Central 5-4.

 

Northside 14 Morton 9

Megan Gillespie, Rhyan White, and Sarah Bodenstein each scored 4 goals to help lift Northside to a 14-9 victory over Morton. Samantha Nuńez recorded 7 scores in the loss for Morton.

 

Prospect 8 Elk Grove 2

Jessica Cavaiani scored 3 goals and Amanda Drucker saved 10 shots to lead Prospect to an 8-2 win over Elk Grove in an MSL East contest.

 

Stevenson 13 York 4

Cami Haas totaled 5 scores and Lisa Michalowski blocked 17 shots as the Patriots earned a 13-4 win over York. Jenna Oliver recorded 3 goals and both Brittany Gartenberg and Erin McCook scored 2 times for Stevenson. Katie Nelson led a group of four Dukes with one goal apiece in the losing cause.

 

Vernon Hills 10 Maine East 5

Anna Lebiedzinski registered 4 scores and both Anne Fan and Dana Andrea scored 3 times as Vernon Hills topped Maine East 10-5 in nonconference play.

 

Whitney Young 14 Juarez 4

Audrey Anderson scored 4 times and Gabby Chelette added 3 scores as the Dolphins beat Juarez 14-4.

#17 Stagg at #8 Naperville North

Both the Chargers (5-0) and Huskies (5-0) are coming off tournament wins over the weekend and both have perfect records. Something will have to give when the two meet in Naperville on Wednesday night.

#22 Mundelein at #9 New Trier

Mundelein looks to bounce back from a 1-3 performance at the Palatine Tournament, while the Trevians look to continue their momentum after securing two wins and a draw at the same tournament.

 

GIRLS

MATCH OF THE DAY

#1 Fenwick at #4 Mother McAuley

The Catholic League rivalry between the Friars and Mighty Macs continues on the South Side, with both teams looking for the early upper-hand in the race for the MCAC title.

#9 New Trier at #2 Naperville Central

The Trevians and Redhawks are both off to red-hot starts, with both teams entering this nonconference affair with five wins already added to their total after less than 10 days of water polo action. Which title contender will secure their sixth win of the season in Naperville on Wednesday?
