Brendan Chang, Peter Dales, Richard Poma and Tommy Hagerty each registered 3 goals to help lead the Titans past Conant 13-2 on Saturday morning. Brian Johnson also made 6 saves in the win. Alec Burke and Tyler Goehrke each scored once in the loss for the hosts.

 

Lincoln-Way Central 10 STC North 3

Matt Klock recorded 6 goals and Jake Burke made 16 saves to lead the Knights past STC North 10-3 on Saturday afternoon. Andrew Smith, Brendan Kay, Cody Torres and Dylan Sterling each added one goal for LWC. Nathan Bawolek scored 2 goals and Sam Lilly scored once for the North Stars.

 

Glenbrook South 8 Lincoln-Way Central 5

Joey Dalesandro totaled 5 goals and 9 steals while the trio of Adam McGovern, Troy Salafatinos and Jack Hiss each scored 3 goals in the Wildcats' 19-4 win over Waubonsie Valley. Alec McKinley also scored 4 times in the victory.

 

Naperville North 17 Waubonsie Valley 6

Jon Jon Pettinger and Matt Magee each scored 3 goals while X-Man Anderson, Cole Jacobs and Drew Jacobson each scored 2 times in the Huskies' 17-6 win over Waubonsie Valley. Nick Zillier, Reilly McDonnell and Spencer Wallace also scored one goal apiece for North.

Nick Walker totaled 5 goals and 3 assists while Kyle Jackson scored 4 goals and Kent Emden stopped 15 shots in the Redhawks' 18-2 win over Neuqua Valley. Kyle Mallen and Phillip Emden each scored 2 goals while Brian Calabrese, Eric Stablein, Michael Stern and Lucas Nervig each scored once in the win. Michael Bonthron scored 2 goals and Luke Santefort stopped 12 shots as the Vikings fended off Oak Park 5-3 on Saturday morning. Henry Kries, John Weeks and Travis Tanner each added one score in the win. Jake Grant, Lawrence Cozzi and Matt Matrovich each scored once and Kevin Obrecht made 15 saves in the losing effort.

 

Curie 6 Palatine 2

Omar Pantoja scored 3 goals, Jose Servin added 2 scores and Adrian Lemus tallied one score as Curie defeated Palatine 6-2. Christian Campos blocked 6 shots in the win for the Condors. Dylan White and Jerome Gabriel each scored once and Jake Conrad saved 5 shots in the loss.

 

New Trier 15 McHenry 4

Danilo Scekic and Sam Yavitt each scored 3 goals and Piers Braunrot made 18 saves as the Trevians knocked off McHenry 15-4. Henry Yavitt, Michael Krueger and Patrick Drake each scored 2 times in the victory. Jonah Smith tallied 2 goals, both Jackson Smith and Josh Frost scored once and Adam Starus made 5 saves for the Warriors.

 

Loyola 13 St Ignatius 11

Matt Merucci scored 5 goals and Kevin Manna scored 3 times as the Ramblers used a 4-2 run in the final period to break a 9-9 deadlock and beat St Ignatius 13-11. Mike Considine and Cole Morgan both put in 2 goals while Larkin Flanagan scored once in the win. Shane Hughes recorded 7 goals in the loss for the Wolfpack. Andreas Christy, Bradley Yendro, Finn Connors and Moises Lopez each scored once while Sam Enger made 6 saves.

Henry Yavitt poured in 6 goals while Charlie Ryan, Danilo Skecic and Will Kohr each scored 2 times in the Trevians' 17-8 win over St Ignatius. Michael Kruger, Patrick Drake, Sam Yavitt and Will Kohr each put in one goal for the victors. Shane Hughes netted 6 goals in the losing effort for SICP while both Andreas Christy and Finn Connors scored once.

 

Palatine 11 McHenry 7

Marcus Carter-Buckman registered 6 goals and Jake Conrad made 10 saves as Palatine earned an 11-7 come-from-behind victory over McHenry. The Pirates trailed the Warriors 5-3 at halftime. Dylan White added 2 goals while both Drew Brown and Sean O'Brien scored once in the win. Jackson Smith totaled 4 goals, Josh Frost scored 2 times and Adam Starus made 10 saves in the loss.

 

New Trier 10 Loyola 9

Danilo Scekic scored 5 goals and Henry Yavitt tallied 2 scores as the Trevians held off Loyola 10-9 to win the Palatine Tournament.

Mike Ward connected on 5 shots and Nick Oleinik tallied 3 scores in the Mustangs' 16-6 triumph over H-F. John Schmidt scored 3 goals, John Weeks put in 2 scores and Luke Santefort made 12 saves in the loss.

Dan Franklin amassed 5 goals while Jake Grant and Leo Manola both scored 2 times and Kevin Obrecht stopped 12 shots in the Huskies' 15-4 win over McHenry. Jackson Smith registered 2 scores while Luke Rose and Mike Matusek each scored once for the Warriors.

Schaumburg 10 Morton 10

Tyler Gustafson scored 6 goals as the Saxons outscored Morton 4-0 in the final period to earn a 10-10 draw with the Mustangs on Saturday morning.

 

Schaumburg 7 Bremen 6

Tyler Gustafson scored 3 goals and Matt Soltau tallied 2 scores as Schaumburg beat Bremen 7-6 to claim fifth place at the Stagg Tournament.

 

 

STEVENSON TOURNAMENT

Stevenson 25 Niles West 5

Dan Maleski scored 5 goals, Alex Kapecki and Andrew Shashin netted 4 goals apeice and Collin Kapecki and Cris Tomassetti both notched 3 goals as the Patriots started off their own tournament with a 25-5 win over Niles West. Lucas Brace scored twice and Adrian Durakovic, Matt Holly and Mustafa Khan each put in one goal for the Wolves.

 

Fremd 21 Wheeling 8

Robert DePau scored 7 goals and Alex Nicholas registered 6 goals as Fremd defeated Wheeling 21-8. Nate Jordan and Ryan Dudar both scored 2 times while Alex Schillinger and Kenny Barry each put in one score for the winners. Nate Reiff recorded 7 goals in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Stevenson 24 Wheeling 5

Andrew Shashin led the Stevenson offense with 5 goals while Cris Tomasetti, Alex Kapecki and Collin Kapecki each scored 4 times as the Patriots defeated Wheeling 24-5. Jake Noel and Nate Reiff each registered 2 goals in the loss for Wheeling.

 

Niles West 10 Fremd 5

Adrian Durakovic and Lucas Brace both scored 3 times as the Wolves defeated Fremd 10-5.

 

Niles West 15 Wheeling 8

Lucas Brace notched 4 scores and Simon Villegas earned 6 steals as the Wolves beat Wheeling 15-8 to finish in second place at the event.

 

Stevenson 23 Fremd 4

Alex Kapecki registered 7 goals while Andrew Shashin scored 4 times and both Dan Maleski and Eric Osuch scored 3 times in Stevenson's 23-4 victory over Fremd.

Conant 10 STC East 2

Paulina Chowaniec notched 5 scores, Aly Wooley and Sam Wooley each totaled 2 goals and 3 steals, and Cam Rosas made 14 saves in Conant's 10-2 win over STC East. Nia Tsoulos also scored one goal in the victory. Haley Salveson and Sienna Schulte each tallied one score for the Saints.

 

Lane 9 Lake Forest 5

Almina Sabanovic and Jazmin Rivera each scored 2 goals to help lift the Indians over Lake Forest 9-5. Catherine Pompe led the Scouts with 2 goals in the loss.

 

STC East 11 Lake Forest 8

Sienna Schulte tallied 3 scores and the trio of Brianna White, Haley Salveson and Sarah Sandecki each scored 2 goals as the Saints beat Lake Forest 11-8.

 

Conant 17 Lake Forest 3

Sam Wooley totaled 5 scores and 4 assists and Paulina Chowaniec scored 4 times in the Cougars' 17-3 victory over Lake Forest. Amy Rodriguez, Claire Rosas and Hannah Lukas each scored 2 goals while Cam Rosas made 6 saves for the victors. Grace Donahue scored 2 goals in the loss for the Scouts.

 

Lane 6 STC East 3

Anne Puralewski notched 4 scores to lead the Indians past STC East 6-3 on Saturday. Haley Salveson, Sarah Sandecki and Sienna Schulte each scored once in the loss for the Saints.

 

Conant 10 Lane 6

Paulina Chownaiec scored 4 goals, Sam Wooley totaled 3 goals and 3 steals and Cam Rosas blocked 7 shots as the Cougars won their own event after beating Lane 10-6.

Fremd 13 Lincoln-Way Central 5

Emily Kini poured in 7 goals and Emma Jeronimus blocked 14 shots as the Vikings earned a 13-5 victory over LWC on Saturday morning. Becca Rutkowski, Karolina Urban and Sarah Coombes each added 2 goals in the winning effort. Cailey Davern tallied 3 scores while both Ava Zirgaitis and Maddie Clark put in one score for the Knights.

 

Bremen 8 Loyola 6

Ashley Seidschlag, Elizabeth Minnich, Jillian Schultz and Gretchen Behrens all scored 2 times as Bremen jumped out to a 3-0 lead en route to an 8-6 victory over Loyola. Siobhan Murphy scored 4 goals while both Alana Dean and Mary Kohl scored once in the loss.

Loyola beat Fremd 15-8. Stats for the Ramblers coming soon. Becca Rutkowski, Emily Kini and Lauren Streitmatter each scored 2 goals  and Emma Jeronimus made 6 saves in the loss for the Vikings.

Jillian Schultz netted 5 goals, Brittany Lira scored 4 times and Gretchen Behrens tallied 3 scores in the Red Jaguars' 17-3 triumph over Fremd. Elizabeth Minnich added 2 goals while both Faith Alfredj and Leah Wood scored once for the victors. Becca Rutkowski, Emily Kini and Karolina Urban each scored once in the loss for the Vikings.

 

 

HINSDALE CENTRAL TOURNAMENT

Hinsdale Central 7 DLS 6

Samara Lillioja scored 3 goals to help lead the Red Devils past DLS 7-6 in the event's opening game. Leslie Garfias scored 3 times, Jasmine Debo put in 2 goals and Jazmin Garcia scored once in the loss for the Meteors.

 

STC North 4 DLS 2

Katie Steele scored 2 goals, Brittany Veto scored once and led the defense with 8 steals and Claire Rich made 4 key saves to help the North Stars get past DLS 4-2. Sarah Gibson also scored once in the win. Jazmin Garcia and Leslie Garfias each scored once in the losing effort.

 

STC North 5 Hinsdale Central 4

Katie Steele scored 3 goals and Claire Rich made 8 saves as the North Stars beat the hosts 5-4 to move to the event's title game. Brittany Veto led the defense with 11 steals and scored once while Sarah Gibson also chipped in with a goal.

 

Glenbrook South 8 DLS 6

Kayleigh Markulis, Kelly Klish and Nikki Lopatinsky each scored 2 goals while Jilly Hebert and Maddie McMillin both scored once as GBS edged DLS 8-6 in the fifth-place game of the event. Leticia Bradsfield scored 3 times while Jasmine Debo, Jazmin Garcia and Leslie Garfias all scored once in the loss for the Meteors.

 

Lincoln-Way East 6 STC North 2

The Griffins continued their impressive start by winning the Hinsdale Central Tournament after beating STC North 6-2 in the event's title game. Throughout the event, Nicole McCabe led the offense with 13 goals while Caroline Heathcock scored 7 times and Claire Connors made 20 saves. Keara Flaherty scored 4 goals and both Abby Olivieri and Julia Esparza scored 3 goals for the champions. In the title game, Katie Steele scored both goals, Brittany Veto made 7 steals and Claire Rich made 7 saves.

 

 

NAPERVILLE NORTH TOURNAMENT

Naperville North 14 Metea Valley 3

Taylor Wessel registered 3 goals and both Isabelle Rocco and Kelsey Ryan netted 2 scores to help the Huskies beat Metea Valley 14-3. Caitlin Holzer, Danielle Pugh, Emma Boddy, Margaret Zega, Olivia Tsao, Olivia Eiken and Sam Reed all scored once as well for the winners.

 

Naperville Central 15 Waubonsie Valley 5

Kaela Codo netted 3 goals and both Caroline Aemmer and Jennifer Oliver scored 3 times as Central got past Waubonsie Valley 15-5. Alli Hansen added 2 goals, Faith Vandercar made 5 saves and the trio of Angie Benton, Anne Marie Gunn and Rylee Brower each scored once for the victors. Alex Triko and Kimela Srey each scored 2 goals and Kelsey Meyer added one goal in the loss.

 

Neuqua Valley 13 Metea Valley 3

Heather Sterchele and Zoe Salafatinos each scored 4 goals and Catherine Carroll netted 2 scores as the Wildcats upended Metea Valley 13-3. Alex VanCleave, Cassidy Angus and Gabby Koopmann each added one score while Issi French totaled 8 saves and 4 assists in the win. Samantha Etscheid tallied all 3 goals for the Mustangs.

 

Waubonsie Valley 6 Naperville North 5

Kimela Srey scored 3 goals and the trio of Alex Triko, Juliette Ansberry and Molly Anderson each scored once as the Warriors edged Naperville North 6-5. Caitlin Holzer notched 3 scores while Megan Phillips and Olivia Eiken each scored once for the hosts.

Emily Westlove scored 3 goals and Faith Vandercar earned a shutout as the Redhawks defeated Neuqua Valley 7-0 to win the Naperville North Tournament. Anne Marie Gunn led the defense with 8 steals in the winning effort. Issi French blocked 10 shots in the loss for the Wildcats.

 

Waubonsie Valley 3 Metea Valley 2

Kelsey Meyer, Kimela Srey and Maria Campbell each scored once and the Warriors' defense held on for a 3-2 victory over Metea Valley. Alex Cerra and Emily Garza each tallied one goal in the loss.

The Trevians opened their tournament by edging Evanston 6-5. Stats unavailable for the victors. Becca Schumm and Riley Hughes each scored 2 times while Emma Stein added one goal in the loss.

Becca Schumm registered 3 goals and Emma Stein, Emily Mohrenweiser, Giselle Figueroa, Riley Hughes and Maddie Schumm each scored once in Evanston's 9-6 win over Sandburg.

 

Evanston 17 Prospect 1

Becca Schumm scored 8 goals (school record) while Riley Hughes tacked on 3 goals in the Wildkits' 17-1 victory over Prospect. Maddie Schumm netted 2 goals while Christina Schumm, Emily Mohrenwieser, Giselle Figueroa and Stephanie Sheihk all scored once in the win.

Meadows 11 Hinsdale South 1

Sara Luedloff scored 6 goals and Betsy Zanocco stopped 10 shots in Meadows' 11-1 win over Hinsdale South. Anna Frantom, Emily Walters, Lizzie Hardt, Grace Nykol and Kaeley Hickey all scored once in the winning effort. Jessica Ostrowska netted the lone goal for the Hornets.

 

Oak Park 15 Marian 1

Tamsen Cronin scored 2 goals while 13 other players scored once for the Huskies as they started the event with a 15-1 win over Marian. Olivia Skelly-Williams tallied the lone score for the Spartans.

 

Meadows 8 Northside 6

Sara Luedloff scored 5 times, Lizzie Hardt netted 2 scores and Betsy Zanocco made 11 stops as Meadows beat Northside 8-6. Maggie Goodwin chipped in on the offensive end with one goal for the Mustangs. Heather Walker led the Northside offense with 5 goals in the losing effort.

Kaitlyn Peterson blocked 5 shots and allowed just one goal while Addie Steward-Nolan, Lizzy Silber, Nell Behr and Valerie Lundeen each scored once in the win.

Allison Travetto scored 6 goals to help lead Stevenson past Palatine 23-2 in the tournament opener on Saturday morning. Mathilde Mogensen scored 2 goals and Tess O'Brien made 8 saves in the loss.

 

Lyons 15 Wheeling 3

Maddie Cordell tallied 4 scores, Victoria Guevera totaled 2 goals and 3 assists, and Kaysie Stuba scored 2 goals in the Lions' 15-3 win over Wheeling. Annika Moore, Claudia Lundgren, Elisa Jaramillo, Greta Markey, Madie Janik, Megan Kotil and Olivia Land rounded out the scoring with one goal each for LT. Argelia Diaz netted all 3 goals in the loss for the Wildcats.

Mathilde Mogensen registered 5 goals and Megan Woell made 5 saves in the Pirates' 10-5 victory over Wheeling. The defending champions finished the weekend with a 3-0 record after holding off Lyons 9-8. Allison Travetto and Fiona Gaffney each scored key goals in the fourth quarter to help the hosts secure the win. Travetto and Claire Haas each scored 4 goals in the winning effort.
