LaMore notched 4 scores as the Cougars grabbed a 17-8 season-opening win
over Meadows on Thursday.

John Roberts recorded 7 goals, Josh Khazanov notched 5 scores, and
Hayden Wilson chipped in with 4 goals as GBN used a 7-2 run in the
second quarter to pull away from the Cougars and eventually earned an
18-14 victory. Roberts also drew 4 ejections and Graham Rose made 8
saves in the winning effort. Richard Padovano scored 5 times in the loss
for Vernon Hills.
Morgan Park 22 Amundsen 10
Christian Cooper totaled 12 goals and made 10 saves and Richard Rhoden
tallied 6 goals as Morgan Park defeated Amundsen 22-10.
Oak Park 17 Waubonsie Valley 6
The Huskies went on the road to earn their first win of the season as
they knocked off Waubonsie Valley 17-6 on Thursday. Josh Gronwold
totaled 5 goals, Josh Fluharty netted 4 goals, and both Kevin Perez and
Kiernan Kelty put in 2 scores for OPRF. Kay Andressen led the hosts with
4 goals, both Jon McWhirter and Wyatt Tiscareno scored once, and Cedrick
Chan made 7 saves in the loss.
STC East 21 Metea Valley 4
Andrew Roberge recorded 6 goals and Dustin Differding notched 5 scores
as the Saints built a 10-1 lead by halftime en route to a 21-4 victory
over Metea Valley. Sean Sweeney pitched in with 3 goals, while both Jack
Sweeney and Jake Fernandez tallied 2 goals in the win. Michael Litinsey
scored 3 times and Keegan Reilly added one goal in the loss for the
Mustangs.
Whitney Young 13 Jones-Payton 12 (OT)
Duncan McDonald scored 6 goals, including two in overtime, to help the
Dolphins eke out a 13-12 victory over Jones-Payton. Steven Fitzgerald
recorded 5 goals, Will Macellaio put in 3 goals, and Jared Williams
scored 2 times (including the game-tying goal to send the game to
overtime) in the losing effort.

Danny Stumpf scored 6 goals and Ben Howlett added 4 scores as York
knocked off R-B 12-4.

Mia Andreoli scored 4 goals, the trio of Claire Rolfes, Ellie
Kennedy-Wood, and Jilly Cronin each scored 3 goals, and Jordin Hale
blocked 9 shots and distributed 4 assists in Oak Park's 18-2 win over
Waubonsie Valley. Kevan Casson added 2 goals and Addie Steward-Nolan,
Grace Martin, and Maille O'Donnell capped off the Huskies' scoring with
one goal apiece.

Choryna Lara amassed 13 goals to lead Amundsen past Morgan Park 14-7 on
Thursday evening.

Brittany Lira netted 3 goals and Jillian Schultz scored 2 times as
Bremen overcame an early deficit and outscored the Vikings 5-0 in the
second half en route to a 7-3 win. Amber Barney scored 2 goals, Alexis
Anderson netted one goal, and Rebecca Tanner stopped 10 shots in the
loss for H-F.

Carmen Rosas totaled 11 goals and Maddy Demaret stopped 13 shots as
Conant emerged with a 19-3 victory over Meadows on Thursday evening.
Emily Weingart scored 4 times and drew 5 ejections, Claire Rosas netted
2 goals, and Barbra Smigla led the defense with 5 steals. Emily Walters,
Erin Pletch, and Sara Luedloff each scored once and Betsy Zanocco
blocked 12 shots in the loss for the Mustangs.

Rebecca Sudworth poured in 10 goals as the Lady Eagles jumped out to a
9-4 halftime lead and fended off the Dolphins in the second half to
secure a 12-9 victory. Fairie Hughes recorded 4 goals in the loss for
Young.
Lyons 16 Hinsdale South 5
Six players recorded a pair of goals for Lyons Township as they earned a
16-5 win over Hinsdale South in WSC action. Almasa Duheric, Caroline
Walsh, Erin Yang, Kaysie Stuba, Megan Kotil and Olivia Land each put in
2 goals, while the duo of Jessie Wittenberg and Maddie Janik combined to
make 10 saves for the Lions. Walsh and Julia Cohen each contributed 3
assists in the victory.
STC North 7 Barrington 2
Katie Difiglio totaled 4 goals and 7 steals while Sarah Gibson netted 2
goals and Brittany Veto made 9 steals in the North Stars' 7-2 triumph
over Barrington. Abby Ponte added one goal and Claire Rich made 6 saves
in the win. Andrea Potgieter and Kael Ragnini each scored once and
Elizabeth Connors blocked 12 shots in the loss for the Fillies.
