NEW TRIER TOURNAMENT

Trevians Cruise To Tournament Title With 3-0 Record

New Trier earned double-digit wins over Evanston, Sandburg, and St Viator on Saturday to emerge with a 3-0 record and a tournament title. Sandburg went 2-1 by beating Evanston and Viator for second place, while the Wildkits finished in third with an 8-4 victory over the Lions.

New Trier 14 Sandburg 4

Alexana Astor, Erika Nothnagel, and Isabelle Baneaux each scored 3 goals as New Trier opened their own tournament with a 14-4 victory over Sandburg. Hannah Caywood and Kelsey Willian also scored 2 times each in the Trevians' win. Jamie Pappanastos registered 3 goals in the loss for the Eagles.

 

New Trier 22 St Viator 4

Kelsey Willian scored 5 goals and both Alexana Astor and Samantha Padavic registered 4 scores as New Trier cruised to a 22-4 win over the Lions on Saturday. Eileen Mallof scored all 4 goals for the Lions.

 

Evanston 8 St Viator 4

Yasi Nassiri recorded 5 goals to lead the Wildkits past the Lions 8-4. Madison Collins added 2 scores for Evanston in the win. Eileen Mallof led Saint Viator with 2 goals in the loss.

 

Sandburg 15 Evanston 8

Tara Capouch scored 5 goals and Jamie Pappanastos added 4 scores to help lift Sandburg past Evanston 15-8 on Saturday evening. Lauren Olson, Cara Hays, and Julie Jenkot also combined to score 6 goals in the Eagles' win. Yasi Nassiri tallied 5 goals and Natasha Chastang added 2 scores in the Wildkits' loss.

 

Sandburg 20 St Viator 5

Jamie Pappanastos scored 7 goals and Tara Capouch added 4 goals in Sandburg's 20-5 victory over St Viator. Cara Hays added 4 scores and Julie Jenkot chipped in with 3 goals in the Eagles' win. Eileen Mallof led the Lions with 4 goals in the losing effort.

 

New Trier 16 Evanston 2

Isabelle Baneaux recorded 5 goals and Liz Joyce, Maggie McKenna, and Meghan Frank all put in 2 goals in the Trevians' 16-2 win over rival Evanston. Karissa McBride and Yasi Nassiri both scored once in the loss for the Wildkits.
