HOFFMAN TOURNAMENT
STC East Edges Hoffman For Tournament Crown
The Saints earned a 10-6
victory over the hosts in the title game to earn the Hoffman Tournament
title on Saturday afternoon. STC East also earned wins over Buffalo Grove
and Prospect to achieve a trifecta of wins against Mid-Suburban League
teams over the weekend. The Hawks placed second, while Hinsdale South beat

Loyola's
Dramatic Turnaround Ends With Tournament Title
Loyola won the Palatine
Tournament in thrilling fashion on Saturday with narrow victories over
Latin (6-5) and New Trier (9-8), drastically improving on a last place
finish at the same event in 2011. Meanwhile, the Trevians and Romans
finished the second-place game tied at 8-8; The tiebreaker advantage for

Stagg
Beats Hinsdale Central To Win Tournament
Both Stagg and Hinsdale
Central went 3-0 in the preliminary round of the Stagg Tournament to
advance to the first place game. The hosts emerged victorious in the final
game by a 13-10 score, with Juan Valdez coming up big with 5 goals and 4
steals for the Chargers. Bradley beat St Rita 12-3 in the third place
game, STC North knocked off Young 16-12 for fifth place, and Morton topped

NAPERVILLE TOURNAMENT
Naperville
North Reigns Supreme At Naperville Tournament
The Huskies put together an
impressive performance at their home pool on Saturday, earning four key
wins over Matea, Naperville Central, Neuqua, and Waubonsie to finish the
five-team event in first place.
Neuqua (2nd) and Naperville
Central (3rd) both finished with 2-2 records, with the Wildcats ending the
day with the advantage between the two after beating the Redhawks 7-5. In
that contest, Brian DuPuy recorded 3 goals and Kevin Patterson added 2
scores to lead the speedy Neuqua offense.
Metea (4th) and WV (5th) ended
the weekend 1-3, with the Mustangs winning the head-to-head 18-15.
STEVENSON TOURNAMENT
Sokolsky's Last Minute Goal
Hands Stevenson
Tournament Title
Mitchell Sokolsky connected on
the game-winning shot with :17 remaining and goalie Robbie O'Brien made a
last-second save to help lift Stevenson past Fremd 5-4 in the virtual
title game of the Stevenson Tournament on Saturday night. Fremd ended up
in second place with a 2-1 record at the event.
Earlier in the day, O'Brien
made 20 saves and earned a shutout as the Patriots started the proceedings
by beating Wheeling 15-0. Kyle Plotsky led the way for Stevenson with 4
goals and both Alex Shkiler and Sokolsky scored 3 times for the hosts.
Evan Woodward and Remy Dalloul also scored 2 goals for SHS.
HIGHLAND PARK TOURNAMENT
Glenbrook North Wins Highland Park Tournament
GBN earned preliminary round
wins over Deerfield (17-3) and Meadows (15-4) before beating Barrington
11-7 in the title game of the Highland Park Tournament on Saturday. Gleb
Medvedev led the Spartans on the offensive end, including a 7-goal
performance in the team's opening game against Deerfield, a 17-3 victory.
GIRLS
Barrington 10 STC North 2
Kate Kuedtke recorded 7 goals
and Sam Gavars added 2 scores to lead Barrington to a 10-2 win over STC
North on Saturday. Brooke Fanslow stopped 8 shots and allowed two scores
in the Fillies' victory.
Maine South 19 Palatine 8
Isabella Matczuk and Tyler
Gooding both contributed 5 scores as Maine South defeated Palatine 19-8 on
Saturday. Anne Marie Pavlis also scored 3 times in the win for the Hawks.
Nicole Theis registered 8 goals and Rachel Chumbook recorded 8 steals on
the defensive end in the loss for the Pirates.

Escape Home Tournament With Trophy
Conant beat Lake Forest and
STC East, fell short against Lane in the final game of the tournament, but
still walked away in first place due to a tiebreaker on Saturday
afternoon. The hosts, Lake Forest, and Lane all finished with 2-1 records

Naperville Central Continues Area Dominance
The second-ranked Redhawks
allowed just five goals in four games to finish with a 4-0 record against
their closest rivals and claim first place at the Neuqua Valley Tournament
on Saturday. NC beat Metea Valley 17-2 in the virtual title game, shutout
Waubonsie Valley 14-0, and also earned wins over the hosts (13-1) and

New Trier earned double-digit
wins over Evanston, Sandburg, and St Viator on Saturday to emerge with a
3-0 record and a tournament title. Sandburg went 2-1 by beating Evanston
and Viator for second place, while the Wildkits finished in third with an

Northside Prep went 3-1 at
their own five-team tournament and won the tournament title after earning
an 11-9 win over York earlier on Saturday. The Dukes also finished with a

STEVENSON TOURNAMENT
Mother McAuley Wins Stevenson Event
The Mighty Macs went 3-0 on
Saturday to claim the top prize at the Stevenson Tournament; McAuley's
defensive performance included allowing just nine goals in three games in
wins over the hosts, Hoffman, and Young. The Patriots took second place
after beating Hoffman 12-1 and Young 12-3; the Dolphins got past Hoffman
6-5 in overtime for a third place finish.

the game-winning goal in the second overtime period as Whitney Young
emerged with a thrilling 6-5 win over Hoffman on Saturday. Nya Wilkins

Dolphins on the defensive end with 8 steals.
