Stevenson Edges Fremd In Overtime To Win Tournament
Remy Dalloul's game-winning goal in overtime helped Stevenson beat Fremd 7-6 to
finish their own event with a 3-0 record on Saturday. The Patriots also beat
Niles West and Wheeling behind the offensive punch of Mitchell Sokolsky (11
goals) and Varun Mummadi (8 goals). Goaltender Robbie O'Brien also came up big,
as he stopped a Fremd breakaway at the end of regulation with the score tied
against Fremd and made 39 saves in the three-game set. The Vikings finished in
second place after a solid defensive effort against Niles West and Wheeling (6
total goals allowed), while Niles West finished in third after beating Wheeling
in the closing seconds of their matchup.

Mitchell Sokolsky recorded 5 goals and Varun Mummadi added 3 scores in
Stevenson's 18-4 triumph over Wheeling. Robbie O'Brien also stopped 12
shots in the win for the Patriots.
Fremd 6 Niles West 4
JP French scored 4 goals to help lift the Vikings past Niles West 6-4 on
Saturday.

Mitchell Sokolsky registered 5 scores, Varun Mummadi put in 3 scores, and
Robbie O'Brien blocked 13 shots in the Patriots' 10-3 win over Niles West.
Fremd 13 Wheeling 2
JP French poured in 6 goals for Fremd as they toppled Wheeling 13-2.
Niles West 12 Wheeling 11
Max Romanelli scored 6 goals, including the game-winner with eleven
seconds left, as Niles West edged Wheeling 12-11.
Stevenson 7 Fremd 6 (OT)
Remy Dalloul scored the game-winning goal in overtime after Robbie O'Brien
stopped a Fremd breakaway chance at the end of regulation as Stevenson won
their own tournament with a 7-6 win over the Vikings. The Patriots led 6-3
midway through the final period before a 3-0 Fremd run sent the game to
overtime. Dalloul, Taylor Baretz, and Varun Mummadi each scored 2 goals in
the win, while Mitchell Sokolsky added one score for the victors. JP
French scored 5 goals and Dillon Heinlein added one goal in the loss for
the Vikings.
