Huskies Roll To Stagg
Tournament Title
Oak Park won four straight games over the weekend, including a 6-2 title game
win over West Suburban Conference foe Hinsdale Central, to emerge with the Stagg
Tournament title on Saturday. The Huskies were led by Nathan Pimentel's 20 goals
in a stretch that saw them beat Stagg, STC North, and St Rita. The Red Devils
finished in second place after earning wins over Bradley, Morton, and R-B over
the two-day event. Bradley responded to a loss on Friday night to Central by
winning three straight games on Saturday to finish in third place. STC North
bounced back from two losses on Friday night to finish in fifth place, while St
Rita edged out Morton 11-9 in the seventh-place game.

St Rita 10 Stagg 10
The Mustangs and Chargers finished regulation tied at 10-10 in the opening
game of the Stagg Tourney.
Oak Park 12 STC North 2
Nathan Pimentel registered 10 goals and Mark Hallman totaled 6 steals and
5 assists to lead the Huskies to a 12-2 win over STC North on Friday. Alex
Darnall and James Kelly each chipped in with a goal and Sean Obrecht made
9 saves for the victors. John Pretet and Nick Traxler each recorded one
score apiece in the loss for the North Stars, who only trailed 3-2 at
halftime before the Huskies broke things open with a 9-0 second-half run.
Hinsdale Central 18 Bradley 12
George Koulouris recorded 9 goals in the Red Devils' 18-12 win over
Bradley on Friday night.
Morton 8 R-B 7
Stagg 10 STC North 5
The Chargers ended the night with a 10-5 victory over STC North at their
own event. In the loss, Ross Davis scored 2 times and Collin Bawolek
blocked 9 shots for the North Stars. Nick Traxler, Ryan Helfers, and Ryan
Hamilton also scored one goal apiece in the losing effort.

OPRF moved one step closer to the title game of the Stagg Tournament by
beating St Rita 8-6. Dmitry Baycharov, Mark Hallman, and Nathan Pimentel
each scored 2 goals in the Huskies' win.
Bradley 13 Morton 4
Hinsdale Central 15 R-B 5
Brogan O'Doherty scored 5 goals and George Koulouris added 4 scores as
Hinsdale Central topped R-B 15-5.
STC North 15 St Rita 4
Justin Simmonds registered 6 scores and Collin Bawolek blocked 9 shots in
the North Stars' 15-4 victory over St Rita. Nick Traxler scored 3 times
and John Pretet also recorded 2 goals in the win for STC North.

Nathan Pimentel scored 5 goals, Alex Darnall and Grant Taubman both put in
2 scores, and Mark Hallman added a goal and 5 steals as the Huskies beat
Stagg 12-4 to advance to the title game of the Stagg Tournament.

Brogan O'Doherty scored 5 times as the Red Devils knocked off Morton 14-7.

St Rita 11 R-B 9 (7th place)
STC North 19 Morton 3 (5th place)
John Pretet scored 6 goals and the trio of Justin Simmonds, Nick Traxler,
and Ross Davis each tallied 4 scores in the North Stars' 19-3 win over
Morton in the fifth-place game of the Stagg Tournament. The North defense
totaled 20 steals and goalie Collin Bawolek blocked 10 shots in the
victory.

Oak Park 6 Hinsdale Central 2 (1st place)
Nathan Pimentel recorded 3 goals and 5 steals and Mark Hallman chipped in
with 2 goals as Oak Park beat Hinsdale Central 6-2 in the title game of
the Stagg Tournament. Lee Werner also scored once in the win for the
Huskies. Brogan O'Doherty and George Koulouris each scored once in the
losing effort.
