-No scoring opportunities for either team in the opening two minutes as the defense is strong
-Lauren Peterson opens the scoring for the Vikings with a backhand goal at two meters
-Peterson puts a lefty backhand into the net from the right post for a 2-0 lead
-Christensen makes a steal in the offensive end and hits the left corner to make it 3-0
-Nolan shoots over the goal on a powerplay chance for McAuley
-Thatcher scores from the left flat from outside seven meters, 4-0 Flossmoor
-Lassen denies Wood's open shot from in front on a powerplay, Christensen a field block on Perez
-Perez scores the powerplay goal with 0:22 seconds remaining in the first period
-Murphy makes a save at the end of the period to keep the Mighty Macs within three goals

-Baffes with a steal, but Murphy saves a breakaway shot by Christensen

-Peterson hits the crossbar from the left post and Murphy recovers the loose ball
-Lily Cortez strips Christensen and assists Ashley Bachler on a powerplay goal to make the score 4-3
