2019 SECTIONALS
More than 150 boys and girls teams will begin their quest for a chance to advance to the state tournament, starting with the sectional play-in games on May 6 & 7.

The girls' quarterfinal action starts on May 8, followed by the boys' quarterfinal games on May 9. The sectional semifinals are played on May 10, with the sectional final games all taking place on Saturday, May 11.

Links to every sectional site are provided below. These will be updated continuously with schedules, game times, and scores/recaps throughout the week of sectionals. At the end of the week, we will have Sectional Ballers and the All-Sectional Teams (as soon as they are submitted to us from each sectional site).

Tuesday, May 7

Play-In Games

(6) Palatine 25 (11) Meadows 4
Dmytro Khomyak and Sam Adame both recorded 5 goals, Matt Haddad registered 4 scores and Mike Ingebritson put in 3 goals in the Pirates' 25-4 win over Meadows.

(7) Elk Grove 14 (10) Schaumburg 9

(8) Hoffman 12 (9) Prospect 9

EJ Merza and Richard Le each scored 4 goals in the Hawks' 12-9 victory over Prospect.

Thursday, May 9

Quarterfinals

(1) Conant 21 (8) Hoffman 3

(4) Hersey 20 St Viator 8

Misha Nikiforov tallied scores, Jack Casey scored 4 times and Cody Blumenfeld added 3 goals in the Huskies 20-8 win over St Viator. Scott Kaiser also blocked 15 shots for the winners. Michael Ruben scored 6 goals in the loss for the Lions.

(2) Barrington 17 (7) Elk Grove 1

Steven Fischer scored 7 goals, Sam Burrell added 4 scores and Wyatt Lindquist blocked 15 shots as the Broncos defeated Elk Grove 17-1 on Thursday night.

(3) Fremd 14 (6) Palatine 4

Friday, May 10

Semifinals

(1) Conant 15 (4) Hersey 8

Alex Hirjoi recorded 5 goals and both Jake Lydon and Spencer Urban scored 4 times as the Cougars beat Hersey 15-8. Jack Casey netted 3 goals in the loss for the Huskies.

(2) Barrington 9 (3) Fremd 6

Steven Fischer registered 6 goals in the Broncos' 9-6 win over Fremd. Wyatt Lindquist also made 8 saves in the winning effort.

Saturday, May 11

Finals

(1) Conant 6 (2) Barrington 2

The Cougars overcame an early 1-0 deficit and pulled away from the Broncos in the second half en route to a 6-2 victory over Barrington. Noah Lawson scored 3 goals and Aaron Nagorzanski made 10 saves in the win for the hosts. Aidan Roth and Josh Robinson each scored once while Wyatt Lindquist blocked 14 shots in the loss for the Broncos.
