Play-In Games
(6) Metea Valley 16 (11) Waubonsie Valley 6
The Mustangs earned a 16-6 win over Waubonsie Valley to advance to
the sectional quarterfinals. Wyatt
Tiscareno recorded 3 goals, Cole Steffl put in 2 scores and Quentin
Tiscareno added one goal in the loss for the Warriors.
(10) STC East 12 (7) Hinsdale Central 11
Ethan Braham registered 7 goals, Andrew Roberge scored 3 times and both
Johnny Tarpey and Tanner Schisler each scored once as the Saints knocked
off Hinsdale Central 12-11.
(9) Stagg 11
(8) STC North 10
Tommy Witek recorded 7 goals, Gabe Jezierski added 2 goals and Lucas
Smiarowski scored once and led the defense with 9 steals as the Chargers
edged STC North 11-10. Jezierski's second goal sealed the win for Stagg
and Stevie Walsh made 10 saves for the winners as they advanced to the
quarterfinal round.
Wednesday, May 11
Quarterfinals
(1) Naperville Central 19 (9) Stagg 5
Kyle Jackson and Nick Walker each scored 4 goals and Eric Stablein
notched 3 scores as the Redhawks earned a 19-5 win over Stagg. Bender
Russo and Lucas Nervig both added 2 goals and Kent Emden made 16 saves
for the winners. Tommy Witek scored 3 times in the loss for the
Chargers.
(4) Hinsdale South 8 (5) Lockport 6
(2) Naperville North 18 (10) STC East 9
Matt Magee totaled 5 goals, Jon Jon Pettinger scored 4 goals and both
Brian Lapham and Cole Jacobs put in 3 goals in the Huskies' 18-9 win
over STC East. Drew Jacobson, Nick Ziller and Reilly McDonnell each
added one score for the victors.
(3) Neuqua Valley 15 (6) Metea Valley 13
Joey Dalesandro and Troy Salafatinos each scored 4 goals and Zach Dilger
netted 3 scores to help the Wildcats outlast Metea Valley 15-13. Adam
McGovern added 2 goals, JP Leshock and Jack Hiss each tallied one score and
Jordan Beck made 16 saves. The Mustangs tied the score at 12-12 early in the
final period before the Wildcats used a 3-0 run to put the game away.
Friday, May 13
Semifinals
(2) Naperville North 20 (3) Neuqua Valley 7
Matt Magee and Reilly McDonnell each scored 4 times and both Cole Jacobs
and Spencer Wallace netted 3 goals in the Huskies' 20-7 triumph over
Neuqua Valley.
(1) Naperville Central 19 (4) Hinsdale South

Kyle Jackson, Nick Walker and Philip Emden each scored 2 goals and Kent
Emden made 18 saves in the Redhawks' 19-3 win over Hinsdale South.
