Adam Doruff recorded 5 goals and David Dragne netted 2 scores in the
Grenadiers' 13-4 victory over Hoffman.
(8) Schaumburg 13 (9) Hersey 5
Matt Soltau and Michael Burke both scored 4 goals, Tyler Gustafson put
in 3 goals and Joseph Kula made 7 saves as the Saxons got past
Hersey 13-8. RJ Quinn and James Lawrence both scored 3 goals in the
losing effort.
Wednesday, May 11
Quarterfinals
(1) Fremd 25 (8) Schaumburg 4
Dylan Assmann scored 7 times, Robert DePau tallied 6 goals and Alex Nicholas
scored 5 goals as Fremd knocked off Schaumburg 25-4. Zak Keper made 5 saves
in the winning effort.
(4) Prospect 16 (5) St Viator 4
Isaac Ginnodo recorded 5 goals to lead the Knights past St Viator 16-4.
Alex Morikado and Matt Inserra both added 3 scores in the win for
Prospect.
(2) Barrington 17 (7) Elk Grove 9
The Broncos moved on to the quarterfinal round after beating Elk Grove
17-9. John Fischer, Mitch Gavars and Tom Derken each scored 4 goals in
the winning effort for the defending sectional champions. David Dragne recorded 5 goals, Adam Doruff scored 2 times and Cory
Hicks blocked 10 shots in the loss for the Grenadiers.
(3) Conant 13 (6) Meadows 2
Braden LaMore scored 8 goals and Harris Dibek blocked 10 shots and 2
penalty attempts as the Cougars beat Meadows 13-2. Alec Burke also
scored 2 goals in the win for Conant. Charlie Borta made 11 saves in the
loss for the Mustangs.
Friday, May 13
Semifinals
(1) Fremd 17 (4) Prospect 3
Robert DePau scored 6 goals and Dylan Assmann notched 5 scores in the
Vikings' 17-3 win over Prospect.
(2) Barrington 16 (3) Conant 5
Tom Derken scored 7 goals and both John Fischer and Mitch Gavars scored
3 goals in the Broncos' 16-5 victory over Conant.
