The Mustangs earned a 7-3 home win over Lockport to advance to the
sectional quarterfinal round where they will meet Naperville North
on Wednesday.

Quarterfinals
(1) Naperville North 17
(8) Metea Valley 3
Katie Horn totaled 6 goals and Jilian Eiken celebrated her birthday
with a 4-goal effort as the Huskies beat Metea Valley 17-3. Alli
Horn and Lauren Liberio each scored 3 times as well for the
sectional's top seed.
Abbie Chamberlain, Alex Cerra and Leah Hummel each tallied one score
in the loss for the Mustangs.
(4) Neuqua Valley 6 (5) STC North 5
Morgan Miller tallied 2 scores, Nicole Walsh provided lockdown defense
and Issi French made 14 saves to help the Wildcats fend off STC North
6-5 on Wednesday evening. Catherine Carroll, Gabby Koopman and Zoe
Salafatinos each tallied one goal as well for the victors. Katie Quinn
totaled 2 goals and 7 steals to lead the North Stars in the one-goal
loss. Katie Difiglio, Sarah Gibson and Monica Guyett each added one
score while Claire Rich made 7 saves for North.
(2) Sandburg 17 (7) STC East 2
Sarah Dolitsky recorded 8 goals and both Mary Mangila and Stephanie
Pappas each tallied 3 scores as the Eagles beat STC East 17-2. Lexy Kos
scored both goals in the loss for the Saints.
(3) Naperville Central 15 (6) Waubonsie
Valley 4
Kaela Codo poured in 7 goals, Emily Westlove netted 3 goals and Abbey
Rosenstiel notched 2 scores to help the Redhawks beat Waubonsie Valley
15-4. Faith Vandercar also stopped 9 shots in the win for NC.

Semifinals
(1) Naperville North 15 (4) Neuqua Valley 6
Jilian Eiken recorded 8 goals and Katie Horn scored 4 times in the
Huskies' 15-6 win over Neuqua Valley. Morgan Miller scored 5 goals,
Zoe Salafatinos added one score and Issi French made 10 saves in the
loss for the Wildcats.
(3) Naperville Central 10 (2) Sandburg 7
Kaela Codo scored 6 times in the first period and totaled 8 goals as the
Redhawks beat Sandburg 10-7 on Friday night. Central led 6-1 early and
8-3 at halftime and held off a second half rally by the Eagles to get
the win. Emily Westlove added 2 goals, Alli Hansen and Jennifer Oliver
combined to make 11 steals and Faith Vandercar made 8 saves in the
winning effort. Sarah Dolitsky led the Eagles with 4 scores in the loss.
