Play-In Games

Jessica Gomez scored 5 goals, Aoife Burke scored 2 times and Catherine Stouffer blocked 6 shots as the T-Bolts built an 8-3 halftime lead and held off a late rally by Marian to earn an 11-9 win. Alexys Knight, Beth Koson, Cailey Pietrzyk and Deanna Koeckritz each added one goal in the win for Andrew. Mae VanBeest helped the Spartans storm back in the second half with 7 goals while Cortney Phillipe and Killian McDonald each scored once in the loss.

Wednesday, May 13

Quarterfinals

Katie Flaherty broke a 1-1 deadlock in the second period to start a 3-0 run for the Griffins that extended until the fourth quarter as LWE defeated H-F 5-3 on Wednesday. Rebecca Tanner blocked 12 shots while Alexis Anderson, Andrea Stilts and Susanna Reese each scored once in the loss for the Vikings.

Cailey Davern, Delaney Shepard and Kim Bernhard each netted 3 goals, Alli Ramirez scored 2 times and both Kenzie Applequist and Nikki Howe tallied 2 goals apiece in the Knights' 13-3 victory over Bradley.

Delaney Shepard recorded 5 goals and Alli Ramirez scored 2 times in the Knights' 8-4 win over LWW. Kim Bernhard and Nikki Howe each added one score while Bernhard and Cailey Davern both totaled 8 steals in the win.

Finals

(3) Lincoln-Way Central 12 (1) Bremen 11

Kim Bernhard recorded the game-winning goal late in the fourth quarter to send the Knights past Bremen 12-11 and back to the state tournament. Bernhard and Alli Ramirez each scored 3 times in a back-and-forth contest that saw the Red Jaguars take a 9-8 lead entering the final period. Cailey Davern and Nikki Howe each scored 2 goals while Delaney Shepard and Kenzie Applequist both scored once for the title-winners. Jillian Schultz scored 5 goals in the loss.
