MARCH 12 & APRIL 9
Hoffman vs Schaumburg
The Hawks should be much
improved this season, so they will get two chances to beat a
relatively young Schaumburg squad when each team travels less than
three miles for a home-and-away series in Mid-Suburban League West
play.
MARCH 12 & APRIL 8
Prospect vs Wheeling
The former
Mid-Suburban League partners battle for more than just bragging
rights in two fixtures that should go a long way in determining the
MSL East champions by the end of the regular season.
MARCH 21
St Charles East vs St Charles North
North claimed
victory in last season's St Charles-based duel, but the teams could
be in for an unpredictable shootout when they do battle during the
third week of the regular season in late March.
APRIL 1 & APRIL 29
Lincoln-Way Central vs Lincoln-Way North
The Knights
qualified for state last year after a brilliant postseason run, but
they lost both meetings with the Phoenix during the regular season.
The two Lincoln-Way squads should be in for two great matches in
April.
APRIL 4
Libertyville vs Vernon Hills
This
inter-district matchup between nearby schools could also play a
vital role in determining the finishing order in the North Suburban
Conference standings this season.
APRIL 8
Hinsdale Central vs Hinsdale South
Both the Red
Devils and Hornets usually lay everything on the line in the battle
for Hinsdale bragging rights, so the story should be the same when
the teams meet in early April.
APRIL 9
Glenbrook North vs Glenbrook South
The two
evenly-matched Glenbrook teams finished neck-and-neck in the Central
Suburban League standings last season, so this early April battle is
likely to be one that both teams have already circled on the
calendar.
APRIL 11
Evanston vs New Trier
A rejuvenated
Wildkits squad should be ready and raring to go when they to take
down the fourth-ranked Trevians in an important Central Suburban
League contest in April.
APRIL 11
Metea Valley vs Naperville North
The Mustangs stunned the
Huskies in a thrilling sectional semifinal round game that went to
overtime in 2012, so this meeting in mid-April could prove to be
just as interesting in determining the Naperville-area pecking
order.
