Scholarship Opportunities Available For Female Water Polo Players

Lindenwood University is looking for at least three female water polo players to join their team for the 2005-2006 school year. They are currently offering a minumum of $6,000 in scholarship money to all interested individuals, with more potential scholarship funds for those who participate in swimming or have high academic credentials (students can also qualify for grants based on financial need).
The team is planning to join the Heartland Conference (Illinois Wesleyan, Wheaton College, Lindenwood, and Knox College) to play at the Division III level. They currently have four girls who have played with the boys team and/or in various scrimmages with area teams, but they are seeking a handful of players that would allow them to form an official team for next year.
Lindenwood University is located near St. Louis, Missouri and is a 12,000-student liberal arts school. More information about the university can be located at their web site www.lindenwood.edu.

Any interested high school senior or junior who is interested in playing collegiate water polo and earning scholarship money to do so should contact illpolo@yahoo.com as soon as possible. Most of the available scholarships will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. The current head coach of the team has contacted our site to help generate interest in the scholarships and the water polo program.
