KEVIN WILLIAMS
Illpolo.com's All-Illpolo First Team
Kevin Williams was a force to be reckoned with on the offensive end for
Oak Park throughout his four- year career. He led the Huskies in scoring
for the past three years and is considered one of the hardest players to
guard in Illinois. He also led Oak Park to a West Suburban Conference
Tournament title in 2005. He was named to the
All-Illpolo first team at the end of the season and was also selected to
the All-State first team for his performance as well. We asked Kevin the following
questions in an exclusive Illpolo.com interview:
College choices, major, current GPA?
I will be attending the Air Force Academy. I'm undecided what I will major
in.
Experience, Club Team, Zone Teams, Off-season work?
I went to JO's with Windy City a few times. I
was on the Midwest Zone Cadet team in 2003 and the Youth team in 2004. I
played in the NAGs in Florida and California. In the summer I play water
polo with Windy City.
When did you start? How? Where?
I started playing water polo in seventh grade with Windy City Water Polo.
Awards and achievements?
Senior year co-captain with Scott Dunlavey. All-sectional 2004, 3rd team all-state 2004, All-American 2004. Kevin was named to first team All-State and first team All-Illpolo in 2005. He also received an All-Sectional award in 2005 as well.
Personal interests? Music? TV shows?
I like a variety of music from 50 Cent to
Simon and Garfunkel. My favorite TV shows are Family Guy and King of the
Hill.
Goals for the future with polo? School? Life?
My goal is to start for the Air Force Academy.
Most of their games are on the West Coast so I anticipate tough
competition.
First Season role?
As a Freshman I played hole set for JV and played on Varsity but did not start.
Soph, Junior Year role?
Sophomore year I started at hole set for varsity, led team in goals and was voted MVP. Junior year I was team co-captain, MVP, and leading scorer.

Other comments/Things to Know?
I've played football for 4 years at Oak Park and, of course, I swim during
the winter.
