Lincoln-Way West 10 Bradley 4
The Warriors are the first girls team to advance from the play-in games,
as they beat Bradley 10-4 to set up a contest against top-seeded
Lincoln-Way Central.
Thursday, May 10
Quarterfinals

Central 10 Lincoln-Way West 3
Danijela Jackovich scored 4 times, Liz Klock notched 3 goals, and Brittany
Knowlton scored 2 goals as LWC got past LWW 10-3. Caroline Foglton totaled
11 saves in the victory for the Knights. Allison Rocha netted 2 goals in the
losing cause for the Warriors.
Lockport 9 Andrew 6
Christine Bafia tallied 4 goals and Alyssa Black netted 2 scores as the
Porters surprised Andrew 9-6 to move to the semifinal round. Annamarie
Lettiere and Eva Fugger both notched 2 scores and goalkeeper Jordan
Bartolini made 9 saves in the losing effort.
Homewood-Flossmoor 14 Marian

Rebecca Mathews registered 9 goals to lead the Vikings to a 14-8 victory
over Marian. Maddy Morris also put in 2 goals for the winners. Paige Wieser
led the Spartans with 5 goals in the loss.
Lincoln-Way North 9 Lincoln-Way East

Jenna Tasic totaled 4 goals and Sam Klosak chipped in with 3 scores as LWN beat LWE 9-3 to advance to the semifinal round.
Emily Koss scored 2 times in the loss for East.

Central 10 Lockport 2
Danijela Jackovich registered 5 goals and both Ashley Dhooghe and Megan
McLean added 2 scores as LWC moved to the title game at their own sectional
after an 10-2 win over Lockport. Kathleen Reany and Paige Adelman each
scored once in the loss for the Porters.
Homewood-Flossmoor 8 Lincoln-Way North

Rebecca Mathews totaled 5 goals and Anna Tenny, Annie Schloen, and Claire
Duncan each added a goal in the Vikings' 8-2 win over LWN. Cheyenne DeGraff
and Sam Klosak both tallied one score in the loss for the Phoenix.
Saturday, May 12
Finals

Central 5 (3) Homewood-Flossmoor 4
Caroline Foglton made 9 saves and a strong team effort on the defensive end
helped LWC emerge with a 5-4 win over H-F. Foglton assisted Danijela
Jackovich on the game-winning goal in the final quarter, while the Knights'
defense kept H-F off the scoreboard for the final six minutes to secure the
narrow win. The victory sent the Knights to the state tournament for the the
first time in team history. Jackovich tallied 4 scores and Beth Senese added the other goal for
Central.
