Evanston and Loyola Lead Stacked Field At Glenbrook Sectional

Evanston emerged from a similar sectional last season to make state, but Loyola
has been tough, while dark horse Prospect/Wheeling enters with a 23-1 record
Talk about a really fun sectional! Loyola is the top seed, after edging Evanston this year by one goal. Brett Hatcher's Wildkits are on a roll, concluding the season with a CSL tournament title win over New Trier. The sleeper is third-seed Prospect/Wheeling, a team that went 23-1 in the regular season and has not played any of the top seeds. If they can get past Glenbrook South, they will have an intriguing matchup with Evanston in the semifinals. For Loyola, they have a possible semifinal matchup with New Trier, a strong number four seed that has kept things close with the Ramblers in their two meetings this year. Mike Leissner always has his teams well prepared for the postseason, and the Trevians have the potential to spring the upset, especially if Loyola is looking ahead to the final game.
