Alex Wich scored the only goal of the opening period with 0:20 remaining to give Evanston a 1-0 advantage.

Quarter 2
Christine Rowley tied the game early in the second quarter, but Jane Igoe put the Wildkits back ahead with a goal to make the score 2-1. Laura Nelson beat Evanston goalie Lanier Zimmer with 0:04 left in the half to tie the game at 2-2.
Evanston 2 Mundelein 2
Quarter 3
Grace Hatcher scored three times in the third period, helping Evanston take control with a 7-4 lead with only 2:14 to go in the third. Siobhan Larsen and Bree Longfield added goals in the last two minutes of the period to get the Mustangs to within one goal at 7-6. Igoe and Laura Eder also scored goals earlier in the period for Evanston.

Quarter 4
Rowley tied the game with a goal with 6:13 remaining, then gave Mundelein their first lead with 3:15 left to play with a goal on a breakaway lob shot. Karina Roman denied the next scoring chance for Evanston, and Dhara Pandya clinched the Mundelein victory with a late goal with 1:32 left to play.
