HORSES: GIRLS
A handful of girls' teams just missed out on making the Preseason Top
25 but could make their way up the rankings during the 2016 season. Let's
take a closer look at
five teams that should be considered 'Dark Horses' this season:

over Mundelein before being eliminated from the postseason in the
semifinals by the state champions (Stevenson).

Maine West finished the previous campaign with a 19-12 mark and
secured a sectional victory over Maine South before being knocked
out of the playoffs by New Trier in the semifinal round.
