Times Were Hard...And They Still Are.
F*** The Economy!

The
year was 2009 and I had all the hopes and dreams in the world. Armed
with a fresh college degree, I thought I had the world at my
fingertips. On the horizon was a big house, five cars and living
large. Although I felt I was ready to start big, the economy had other
plans in mind.
Flash forward to the far off year of 2010. Two painted houses and
numerous small-time renovations later, I found myself inside my
cousin's house (Aaron's house) doing his dirty work...literally (I
won't explain how I was paid until later). Now, in tough times, many
could turn to certain actives that pay lucratively. Aaron explained to
me that he had proposition which paid well and I accepted with no
details.
Once I arrived, I was a little leery once he explained the details
considering I would have to get my hands a little dirty. But still,
times were hard. I had no job and was strapped for cash so the
opportunity could not be passed up.
Four hours later, the job was completed. I wasn't happy with what I
had to do, but I got paid and that was all that mattered.
Now, it's 2011 and I have a decent paying job. Was I happy with what I
did? No. Would I still update a website, clean a kitchen and two
bathrooms for $100, a dozen Bud Lites and a bucket of Jewel fried
chicken? Hell yeah.
