Play-In Games
Morton 5 Clark 0
The first official result of the 2012 postseason is...a forfeit win for
Morton over Clark. The mandatory 5-0 scoreline officially goes into the
books, while the Mustangs move on to face #1 Lyons on Wednesday.
R-B 14 Foreman

The Bulldogs earned a hard-fought 14-12 victory over Foreman in the
preliminary round; they will take on defending champions Fenwick in the
quarterfinals.
Wednesday, May 9
Quarterfinals
Fenwick 21 R-B 7
The defending champions raced out to a 7-1 lead in the opener quarter and
never looked back in a 21-7 victory over R-B on Wednesday. Viken Huening
scored 5 times and Jimmy Mullen and Matt Bresnahan each tallied 3 scores
for the Friars, while goalie Tommy McGuire made 8 saves and blocked a
penalty shot. Jon Moron and Victor Mezera each tallied 2 scores in the
loss for the Bulldogs.

Semifinals
Fenwick 14 Oak
Park 9
Dan Kelly scored 4 goals and both Jimmy Mullen and Rich Mueller scored 2
times to help Fenwick knock off Oak Park 14-9 on Friday. Troy Williams led
the Huskies with 4 goals and 2 assists in the losing effort.
Lyons 11 Curie 1
Josh Hirt scored 3 goals and Kovas Zygas added 2 scores as the Lions' strong
defensive effort led to an 11-1 win over Curie. Manny Martinez tallied the
only goal in the loss for the Condors.
Saturday, May 12
Finals
(2) Lyons 8 (1) Fenwick 7
Joe Shannon scored the game-tying and game-winning goals in the final period
and the LT defense held Fenwick scoreless for the last 3:44 of the contest
to earn an 8-7 win on Saturday at the York Sectional.
Shannon and Kovas Zygas both recorded 3 goals as LT outscored Fenwick 6-3 in
the second half and 4-1 in the last quarter to earn the comeback win. Dan
Kelly and Matt Farmer both scored 3 goals in the loss for the Friars.
