Spring Bracket Drawing

The IHSA held the Spring Bracket drawing in Bloomington on March 22. Here is how the quarterfinals will line up in May for the 2019 state tournament:

BOYS

Game 1: LWW Sectional vs GBN Sectional

Game 2: TBA (Chicago) Sectional vs Lyons Sectional

Game 3: Neuqua Sectional vs TBA (North) Sectional

Game 4: Fenwick Sectional vs Conant Sectional

GIRLS

Game 1: TBA (North) Sectional vs TBA (Chicago) Sectional

Game 2: Lyons Sectional vs Fenwick Sectional

Game 3: Neuqua Sectional vs LWW Sectional

Game 4: GBN Sectional vs Conant Sectional

The IHSA utilizes a blind draw to determine the pairings for the state tournament. The first team drawn is placed on the first position of an eight-team bracket and every team drawn after that fills the next spot in the bracket.

In the above listing, the winner of Game 1 will play the winner of Game 2 in the state semifinals, while the winner of Game 3 plays the winner of Game 4 in the second semifinal game.
