Kyle Jackson/Nick Walker (Naperville Central)
Nick Walker totaled 16 goals and Kyle Jackson scored 9 times as the
seniors led the Redhawks to the state title in 2016.
The duo combined to score 12 goals in a 15-4 win over York on Thursday.
Walker registered 6 scores and Jackson put in 2 goals in a 10-4 win over
St Ignatius in the semifinal round.
Finally, Walker scored 3 times and Jackson netted 2 scores in the Redhawks'
8-5 win over Stevenson in the title game.
GIRLS
Catie Wallace/Kelly Frumkin (Fenwick)
Frumkin and Wallace both recorded 11 goals at the state tournament to help
the Friars win the title in 2016. Wallace also scored two-game winning
goals in both the semifinal and final round.
The pair combined to score 11 goals in the Friars' 13-7 win over New Trier
on Friday night.
In the semifinal round, Frumkin scored the game-tying goal and Wallace
netted the eventual game-winner with a penalty shot as Fenwick outlasted
Stevenson 9-7. Wallace scored 3 goals and Frumkin scored 2 times in the
victory.
Wallace scored the game-winning goal in overtime to send the Friars past
Naperville Central 13-12 in the title game. Both players notched 3 scores
in the winning effort.
