Week 2 Super Ballers

Kent Emden/Nick Walker (Naperville Central)

Emden allowed just 3 goals per game and stopped 49 shots while Walker led all scorers with 21 goals as the Redhawks beat three Top 10 teams to claim the Fenwick Tournament title over the weekend.

Walker scored 7 times and Emden made 17 saves in an 8-4 title game victory over top-ranked Stevenson. Central also earned wins over Lincoln-Way East, Neuqua Valley and St Ignatius at the event.

GIRLS

Jenny Stelnicki/Tara White (St Ignatius)

White led all scorers at the Naperville Central Tournament with 13 goals while Stelnicki allowed 3 goals per game and made 25 saves as St Ignatius won the event after beating four Top 25 teams (Mother McAuley, Mundelein, New Trier, York).

The key game for the Wolfpack was their 9-6 win over New Trier, as White led the team with 4 scores and Stelnicki blocked a breakaway attempt from point-blank range in the closing stages to preserve the SICP victory.

Meanwhile, Stelnicki allowed just 2 goals and White scored 2 times in the Wolfpack's 9-2 win over Mother McAuley in the event's title game.
