Cole Maziel (New Trier)
Maziel has been impressive since taking over in goal for New Trier due to
injury; he made two penalty saves in Saturday's 8-7 win over GBS.
Cristiano Tomasetti (Stevenson)
Amongst all of the weapons the Patriots bring to the table is Tomasetti, a
consistent scorer who racked up 75+ goals in the regular season.
Danny Stumpf (York)
Stumpf has the potential to be a difference-maker anytime he is in the
water and will hope to provide a spark against the state's top-ranked team
(Naperville Central) on Thursday.
Eric Stablein (Naperville Central)
Stablein is a reliable and versatile fixture in the Redhawks' lineup and
will need to continue his solid play if Central hopes to claim their first
state title.
Jacob Culver (Lincoln-Way East)
The Griffins will look to Culver to continue his stellar play just as he
has throughout the
postseason as East navigated past Andrew, LWC and LWE to earn a trip to
the state tourney.
Moises Lopez (St Ignatius)
The freshman Lopez has made an immediate impact for the Wolfpack and could
help SICP advance past Thursday night and into the trophy round.
Zak Keper (Fremd)
The Vikings feature a balanced attack on both ends of the pool but will
rely on Keper as they attempt to bring down New Trier in the
quarterfinal round.
Victor Perez (Lyons)
The Lions' freshman nearly broke the 40-goal barrier in his first full
season and has the type of game that could help propel Lyons back to the
winner's circle at the end of the weekend.
GIRLS
Cam Rosas (Conant)
The Cougars' goalkeeper will hope to be at the top of her game when Conant faces
a Mother McAuley team with plenty of offensive firepower on Friday night.
Eileen Hoang (Stevenson)
The versatile Patriots' sophomore could make a difference on both ends of the
pool as the hosts are hopeful they will be able to defend their title.
Emily Rodgers (Naperville Central)
Rodgers has once again been one of the top performers for the Redhawks this
season and will likely be a major factor as Central eyes an opening-round
victory over LWN.
Emma Dolan/Tara White (St Ignatius)
The Wolfpack will need all hands on deck if they hope to dethrone the defending
state champions (Stevenson) in the quarterfinal round; players like Dolan and
White could be called upon to make significant contributions for a strong SICP
lineup.
Julia Porco (Lincoln-Way North)
Porco has emerged as a reliable scorer for the Phoenix and will hope to continue
filling that role as North hopes to best Naperville Central on Friday afternoon.
Maggie Hennigan (Mother McAuley)
Hennigan is an experienced playmaker who should play a key role for a Mighty
Macs' squad with their sights set on winning the state title in 2016.
Molly McGuire (Fenwick)
The Friars' sophomore is more than capable of providing an offensive spark for a
Fenwick team hoping to get past New Trier in the quarterfinal round on Friday
night.
Lauren Engelhard (New Trier)
The Trevians' talented goalie is a solid and steady presence for a New Trier
defense that will hope to put the clamps down on Fenwick's chances in Friday's
quarterfinal round.
