Andrew Brozovic/Bryan McNitt/Mason Maze (LWE)
The Griffins' trio of McNitt (11 goals), Maze (10 goals) and Brozovic (9
goals) led a balanced attack as Lincoln-Way East went 4-0 over the weekend
to claim the St Patrick Tournament title. Maze also scored 4 times and
McNitt scored 2 goals in a 14-10 win over Stagg earlier in the week.
Danny Stumpf/Tim Evely (York)
Evely and Stumpf combined to score 21 goals for the Dukes as they earned a
pair of high profile draws with Fenwick and St Ignatius at their own
tournament over the weekend.
Luke Santefort/Travis Tanner (H-F)
Tanner racked up 14 goals and Santefort made 40 saves and was named
Tournament MVP as the Vikings went 3-1 to end the weekend in second place
at the St Patrick Tournament.
Michael Krueger (New Trier)
Krueger led the Trevians' offense with 9 scores as the squad went 2-2 at
the York Tournament. He tallied 3 key goals in New Trier's 13-12 overtime
win over the hosts.
Nick Oleinik (Mundelein)
Oleinik totaled 14 goals as the Mustangs finished the York Tournament with
an impressive 3-1 record. He recorded 5 goals and 9 steals in Mundelein's
12-4 win over Fenwick on Saturday afternoon.Nick Oleinik totaled 5 goals and 13 steals while Matt Schaedel
scored 4 times in the Mustangs' 16-1 win over Palatine.
Robert DePau (Fremd)
DePau racked up 12 goals during Week 4 as the Vikings picked up a pair of
wins over Conant and Schaumburg in MSL West action. The Vikings are now
4-0 in their division and lead the standings by one game over Barrington.
Shane Hughes (St Ignatius)
Hughes led all scorers with 21 goals as the Wolfpack ended the weekend in
second place at the York Tournament. He also scored 6 goals in both of the
team's championship round games. Earlier in the week, he celebrated his
birthday with an 8-goal performance in a win over Loyola and also put in 7
goals in a 12-5 victory over St Patrick.
