Dustin Differding (STC East)
Differding poured in 10 goals to aid the Saints in their 2-1 performance
at the Waubonsie Valley Tournament. He also scored the game-tying and
game-winning goals in overtime on Thursday to lift East over Maine West
9-8.
Jacob Lawson (Conant)
Lawson rejected 31 shots, allowed 6 goals per game and was named the
tournament MVP at Sandburg as Conant went 4-0 to win the event over the
weekend.
Christian May/Kyle Jackson/Nick Walker/Phillip Emden
(Naperville Central)
The foursome scored 45 goals to lead the Redhawks to the Best of the West
Tournament title over the weekend, which included wins over Mundelein and
Naperville North in the championship round.
GIRLS
Abby Warren (Lake Forest)
Warren totaled 15 goals to lead the Scouts to the Vernon Hills Tournament
title on Saturday.
Betsy Zanocco/Sara Luedloff (Meadows)
Zanocco stopped 62 shots and Luedloff scored 17 goals to lead the Mustangs
to the Elk Grove Tournament title over the weekend.
Jillian Schultz/Leah Wood (Bremen)
Schultz and Wood stood out as key performers for the Red Jaguars as they
beat Palatine, STC North and Wheeling to win the Palatine Tournament. The
duo combined to score 12 goals as Bremen finished 3-0 over the weekend.
Katie Difiglio (STC North)
Difiglio registered 11 goals to help the North Stars finish in third place
at the Palatine Tournament with a 2-1 record,.
Taylor Stoner/Tina McBride (Naperville North)
Stoner racked up 9 goals in the Huskies' title game win over York while
McBride allowed less than one goal per game and also recorded a shutout as
Naperville North won the York Tournament on Saturday.
Theresa Godlewski (Wheeling)
The Wildcats' senior led all scorers at the Palatine Tourney with 15 goals
as the Wildcats improved to 12-6 at the end of the event.
