Alex Gacek/Mike Tamulonis (Andrew)
Gacek scored 4 goals in Andrew's 9-7 win over Hersey in the title game of
the Elk Grove Tournament and totaled 7 scores at the event, while
Tamulonis registered 5 scores and led the defense with 14 steals to help
keep the T-Bolts perfect this season. Gacek also scored 4 times in
Andrew's mid-week win over LWW.
Brant Boczek (Glenbrook South)
Boczek recorded 16 goals in wins over Conant, LWW, and Hinsdale Central as
the Titans won their own event over the weekend. He also totaled 5 goals
in wins over Maine South and Niles West earlier in the week.
Jack Carroll (Hersey)
Carroll scored 17 goals to help the Huskies finish in second place at
their own tournament over the weekend. He also put in 8 goals in wins over
Prospect and Schaumburg earlier in the week for Hersey.
John Pretet/Collin Bawolek (STC North)
Pretet led the North Stars with 8 goals and Bawolek stopped 29 shots as
STC North finished in second place at the NN Tournament on Saturday.
Pretet also scored 4 goals and Bawolek totaled 22 saves in wins over Metea
and Neuqua during Week 5.
Mark Hallman (Oak Park)
Hallman scored 11 times at the Lyons Tournament to help the Huskies finish
with a 2-1 mark with wins over Lyons and Stevenson. He also scored 7 times
in wins over Hinsdale South and York earlier in the week.
Nolan Roberts (Naperville North)
Roberts registered 14 goals to lead the top-ranked Huskies win their own
tournament with wins over Fremd, Sandburg, and STC North. The senior
erupted for 7 goals in a 9-4 win over the Eagles and scored 5 times in a
12-6 title-game win over the North Stars. He also scored 3 goals in
Thursday's 16-12 victory over Naperville Central.
GIRLS
Allison Travetto (Stevenson)
Travetto recorded 18 goals at the Stevenson Tournament to help the
Patriots earn wins over Boone, Fremd, and New Trier. She also registered 6
goals in a midweek win over Mundelein and netted 3 scores in Thursday's
victory over Vernon Hills.
Devika Joshi (Libertyville)
Joshi scored 8 times to help the Wildcats finish 3-0 at the Barrington
Tournament on Saturday.
Gena Tanquilut/Sarah Suppes (LWW)
The Warriors' tandem combined to scored 13 goals to help the team finish
in second place at the GBS Tournament.
Caroline Wojtas/Rachel Chumbook (Palatine)
Chumbook recorded 11 goals at the Maine East Tournament to help Palatine
win the event with a 3-0 record on Saturday. Wojtas tallied 6 scores but
also found the back of the net with two seconds left to lift the Pirates
past Prospect 5-4 on Wednesday.
Sam Gavars (Barrington)
Gavars led all scorers at the Barrington Tournament with 12 goals and
helped the Fillies earn wins over Lake Forest and Vernon Hills. She also
scored 7 times in Tuesday's 16-10 victory over Schaumburg and added 6
scores in a win over Elk Grove on Wednesday.
