Barth led the Wolfpack with 11 goals at Fenwick over the weekend, while
Hughes stopped 25 shots in the first two games and scored 6 times in a
third-place game win over Naperville Central on Saturday night. The pair
also scored 9 goals in Monday's win over Brother Rice.
Bradin Krug/Cameron Steele (Waubonsie Valley)
Steele recorded 14 goals and Krug netted 10 scores as the Warriors went
3-0 at the Lincoln-Way North Tournament with wins over the hosts, CBC, and
LWC.
Danny Farmer (Fenwick)
Farmer registered 16 goals at the Fenwick Tournament over the weekend,
helping the Friars earn a second-place finish out of thirteen teams after
wins over H-F, NC, and Oak Park.
Eric Tamulonis/Tim Yara (Andrew)
Tamulonis racked up 9 goals and Yara totaled 21 saves, 10 steals, and a
shutout to lead the T-Bolts to the Hinsdale South Tournament title on
Saturday. Tamulonis also put in 4 goals and added 4 assists in a 16-4 win
over the hosts in the event's title game.
Keegan Finn/Frank Skorski (St Viator)
Finn recorded 12 goals and Skorski made 34 saves to help the Lions win the
Evanston Tournament with a 4-0 record and wins over Bremen, Evanston, GBN,
and GBS.
Joe Kesslering/Wil Hubert (York)
Kesslering and Hubert both recorded 10 goals to lead York to the
Schaumburg Tournament title with a 4-0 record over the weekend.
Kyle Patt/Max Yusim/Steven Renko (Niles West)
The Wolves' trio provided the bulk of the offense in the team's
tournament-winning performance at Maine East, scoring 40 goals in a
four-game run that included wins over the hosts, BG, Maine South, and
Northside.
GIRLS
Becky Callen/Melissa Gartenberg (Stevenson)
Gartenberg totaled 8 goals and Callen stopped 22 shots to help the
Patriots earn wins over Loyola and Oak Park during Week 2.
Fairie Hughes (Whitney Young)
Hughes led the Dolphins with 7 scores as they won the Jones-Payton
Tournament with a 3-0 record on Saturday. She also scored a key goal in
Whitney Young's 4-3 overtime win over Northside earlier in the week.
Jessica Fox/Michelle Spaits (Naperville Central)
Spaits led the Redhawks with 8 goals and Fox recorded 7 scores, including
the game-winner in a 9-8 title-game win over Mother McAuley, as Naperville
Central won their own tournament over the weekend.
Katie Horn (Naperville North)
Horn scored 5 goals in the Huskies' 9-5 win over Loyola as Naperville
North eventually won their own tournament with a 3-0 record over the
weekend.
Nicole Guyett (STC North)
Guyett totaled 13 goals to lead STC North to their own tournament title on
Saturday with wins over Andrew, Lake Forest, and Hoffman.
Sarah Dolitsky (Sandburg)
Dolitsky recorded 14 goals in wins over Bremen, LWN, and Marian to help
the Eagles finish with a 3-0 record during Week 2.
