PERIOD 1
-Loyola starts with it and Cam Shewchuck delivers from 5m on their first
possession
-After a stop, Shewchuck sets to Matt Kearney and he finds the left corner,
2-0 Loyola
-Fenwick's first chance hits the crossbar, they get the rebound but nothing
comes of it
-Shewchuck drives towards set and takes a pass and lofts one into the left
corner
-Danny Farmer tries a backhand from 2m but Trevor Prince is in the way to
make a save
-Fenwick can't get a foul call and turn it over trying to get it to Farmer
at 2m
-The Friars get a stop and head on offense, Calderon draws an ejection,
Bertschy hits the right post
-Loyola turnover; Ryan Masi sskips a shot into the right corner to get
Fenwick on the board
-Offensive foul calls on both ends as we reach the final minute of the first
quarter
-Bailey Wendt scores from the point as his shot just eludes Prince and gets
in; Loyola 3-2
-Kearney gets another from inside 4m and Loyola takes a 4-2 lead at the end
of the first period
PERIOD 2
-Loyola turns it over but then Farmer is tripled at 2m and the
Ramblers get it back
-Steal by Bertschy on the perimeter, he draws an ejection, but
Calderon hits the left post
-Finn makes a field block and then Prince denies Calderon's 7m
attempt
-Fenwick has had the ball for the last minute...Farmer draws an
ejection at 2m
-And now Prince blocks Calderon's 7m shot and finally Loyola gets it
back
-Loyola turns it over but Masi fires from 7m and it goes wide left
-The Ramblers draw an ejection and call timeout
-Timeout (4:01 remaining)
-Mike Hill blocks Shewchuck's attempt from the left after an
ejection
-Loyola got it back, Kearney drew a kickout, but Loyola misfires and
Fenwick takes over
-Jack Nickele took a feed at 2m but was swarmed and couldn't get a
shot off
-Fenwick cut it to 4-3 on a DJ Perez goal from 5m
-Shewchuck scores his third goal at 2m to put Loyola ahead 5-3
-Hill turns away Kearney's close-range effort from 2m
-Loyola gets a to a loose ball with Fenwick threatening at the end
of the half

-Loyola turns it over on their first possession looking for Tom
Baker
-Finn earns a steal on the other end as the first minute has gone by
in the third quarter
-Kearney draws an ejection and Shewchuck finds Nickele on the post
and he gets it past Hill
-Danny Farmer gets on the board off a nice entry pass into 2m; 6-4
Loyola
-Calderon scores on Fenwick's next trip to cut the Loyola lead to
6-5
-Calderon with a steal but Masi is doubled at 2m and loses
possession
-Prince blocks Calderon's attempt from just outside 5m
-Prince comes out of the crease to steal a pass intended for
Bertschy on the counterattack
-Finn's lob attempt is off the mark from 7m
-After an ejection, Shewchuck intercepts a Fenwick pass and Loyola
takes over
-Bertschy draws an ejection and Fenwick calls timeout
-Timeout (1:31 remaining)
-Schermerhorn with a steal, Loyola counters...and Nickele finds
Shewchuck open on the left for a goal!
-Hill uses his speed to make a steal, but Loyola prevents a
breakaway chance for Masi at the end of Q3

PERIOD 4
-Loyola wins a jump ball to start with the ball in Q4; Hill blocks a
9m attempt by Shewchuck
-Calderon tries his luck from 7m but Prince makes the save
-Fenwick drew an ejection on the defensive end but Schermerhorn made
a steal on the other end
-Another ejection on Loyola, but Prince denies Masi's shot from the
left
-Loyola draws a kickout and calls timeout leading 7-5
-Timeout (4:34 remaining)
-Shewchuck has his shot blocked but eventually Tom Baker finds the
right corner to make it 8-5!
-The teams trade possessions before Masi assists Wendt on a goal
from the left side! 8-6 Loyola
-Bertschy cuts it to 8-7 after getting a 5m shot past Prince
-Kearney hits the post from the left side of 2m
-Timeout (1:57 remaining)
-Masi hit the post after a crazy sequence and Loyola takes over
-Ejection on Loyola but Prince makes a save!
-Loyola runs the clock down and Fenwick calls timeout

-Fenwick looked for Farmer at 2m but instead it was Calderon who
snuck behind the defense to tie it!

-What just happened! Fenwick made a steal but Shewchuck charged at
Hill and got the ball back...
-He drew a foul at 5m and then just missed on a lob with :03 left
-Hill then hit the top of the net on the other end at the buzzer and
we head to overtime

OVERTIME 1
-Long break before they start the extra session. Two three-minute
periods coming up...
-Fenwick's double team at 2m denies a pass in to Kearney
-Prince blocks Farmer's shot from 4m and gets to the rebound
-Shewchuck puts Loyola ahead 9-8 on Loyola's second possession after
Prince blocked Farmer's 4m shot
-Loyola turnover; Farmer is denied again by Prince from outside 5m
-Fenwick has it back after a miss and Bertschy connects from the
left side to tie the game at 9-9
-We head to overtime period #2 with Loyola and Fenwick knotted up at
9-9

OVERTIME 2
-Loyola starts with it, Calderon strips Schermerhorn but Loyola
steals a counterattack pass
-Shewchuck connects on a backhand from 4m to give Loyola a 10-9 lead
-Prince blocks Farmer's backhand attempt with 1:50 to play
-Hill makes a save at the end of the shot clock for Loyola
-Timeout (0:31)
-Wendt skipped a shot that got through Prince and bounced up off the
bar and in!!!!!!!!!!!
-Shewchuck draws an ejection with :14 left
-Timeout (0:14 remaining)
-Baker found Schermerhorn open on the left post and he elevated and
pushed it in with :08 left
-Fenwick looked for Farmer near 2m but the pass went astray and
Prince collected it
-LOYOLA WINS THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!
