PERIOD 2

-Martinez lofts a shot over the goal on the first possession for SICP

-Martinez with a steal and Abbott later blocks her outside shot attempt

-The McAuley defense continues to suffocate the Ignatius offense

-Kleist finds Bryar after a drive but her attempt is knocked down by Stelnicki

-Insalaco's sweep shot from five meters hits the crossbar

-Insalaco with a steal at the other end but it comes to nothing for SICP

-Martinez makes a steal for Ignatius in transition

-Juarez drives to the left post and draws a penalty! Stelnicki converts to the left corner and it's tied!

-After an ejection, Insalaco finds Juarez open on the right post, she beats Abbott and Ignatius leads 2-1!

-Kopale with a steal to start McAuley's counter but Bryar's shot is tipped over by Stelnicki

-Neither team scores in the closing seconds and Ignatius leads McAuley 2-1 at halftime

ST IGNATIUS 2 MOTHER MCAULEY 1

PERIOD 3

-McAuley with the ball first but Ignatius makes a stop

-The shot clock expires on the Wolfpack's first trip on offense in the second half

-Bryar scores the equalizer from the right post to tie the game at 2-2

-The defenses are back on top as the next four possessions result in no scoring solid chances

-Insalaco makes a steal but Abbott gets her hand on a lob attempt by Fernandez

-Steal by Bryar, breakaway chance, ejection on Fernandez, and Williamson gives McAuley the lead!

-St Ignatius timeout - 2:38 left

-Stelnicki dumps a pass into set and Insalaco's sweep shot ties the game at 3-3!

-Kleist answers quickly at the other end for McAuley and they lead 4-3!

-Fernandez scores for Ignatius and we are back even at 4-4!

-Ignatius with a stop, they draw a kickout, but MaryJune O'Connell makes a big block for the Macs

-Abbott and Stelnicki make saves in the closing seconds and we go to the final quarter tied at 4-4

MOTHER MCAULEY 4 ST IGNATIUS 4

PERIOD 4

-Insalaco starts the final period with a lob from close range that puts Ignatius ahead 5-4

-Kleist responds again at the other end and we are back even at 5-5

-Stelnicki tries a bomb from nine meters that hits the crossbar and just stays out

-Insalaco with a perimeter steal and fights off Arciniega to score on the breakaway!

-McAuley timeout - 5:21 left

-Stelnicki gets a hand on Bryar's five meter attempt, McAuley retains possession

-Kleist gets open on the left post and scores to the left corner to tie the game at 6-6

-Martinez has an answer from the left side to make it 7-6 Ignatius

-Arciniega drew an ejection but the Ignatius defense makes a stop

-McAuley with a stop and Arciniega shoots over the goal

-Bryar and Kleist team up to make a steal at two meters

-KOPALE! She ties it in transition after Bryar and Kleist made that earlier steal

-Juarez earns a penalty and Stelnicki buries the shot off the crossbar and in! 8-7 lead for Ignatius

-Stelnicki blocks Kleist's attempt from 5m out

-Stelnicki makes a second straight save to keep Ignatius ahead by one

-Abbott gets her hand on a lob attempt by Ignatius and the Wolfpack will get the ball back

-Ignatius timeout - 1:01 left

-McAuley gets the stop they desperately needed and they call timeout

-McAuley timeout - 0:48 left

-Offensive foul called right away on McAuley and Ignatius will run the clock down under 0:20

-Maloney's lob goes over the goal and McAuley will have one last chance after a timeout

-McAuley timeout - 0:18 left

-Stelnicki earns a steal and Ignatius runs out the clock! Ignatius wins 8-7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
