Nolan Roberts (Naperville North)
Roberts was overlooked for All-Sectional honors, but don't expect New
Trier to do the same; he scored 4 times in the Huskies' 14-4 win over the
Trevians in Week 7 and is a vital component in North's push for a state
title in 2013.
Dano Johnson (New Trier)
Johnson has come on strong in his senior season as a defensive presence
for the Trevians; the fact that he has more recently become a solid
scoring option makes him all the more dangerous as New Trier gears up to
make a run at their first-ever state title.
Danny Farmer (Fenwick)
The Friars' sophomore has had a breakout season and may cause nightmares
for opponents who now have to deal with shutting down two Farmer's instead
of one.
Hayden Santefort (H-F)
Santefort is a presence in the middle for the Vikings and will have to
play a big part on the offensive end if H-F hopes to upset Fenwick in the
quarterfinal round.
Devin Schmitz (Conant)
Schmitz plays the type of suffocating defense that easily frustrates
opponents and will be called on to do the same in the quarterfinal round
against Stevenson.
Varun Mummadi (Stevenson)
Mummadi has become a consistent scoring option for the Patriots,
especially when defenses are more focused on stopping Mitchell Sokolsky.
Matt Bachler (Brother Rice)
The sophomore continues to make big plays for a team that has rapidly
improved as he has gained more experience. He provided the assist on Dave
Jackson's game-winning goal in last weekend's last-minute win over
Sandburg in the Stagg Sectional title game.
Themio Christy (St Ignatius)
Christy is the type of experienced leader necessary for the Wolfpack to
stay focused on the big stage when they take on Brother Rice for a chance
to earn a state trophy.
