Brogan O'Doherty/George Koulouris (Hinsdale Central)
The Red Devils duo of O'Doherty and Koulouris scored 27 times in a
second-place finish at the Naperville Tournament that included wins over
GBN, Lake Forest, and Mundelein. Koulouris also scored 6 goals in a 10-6
win over Waubonsie Valley on Wednesday.
Jeremy Kucera (Libertyville)
Kucera recorded 14 goals for the Wildcats as they won the Barrington
Tournament on Saturday.
Josh Hirt (Lyons)
Hirt totaled 18 goals in wins over Loyola, Stevenson, and St Ignatius to
help the Lions lift the trophy at their own event over the weekend. Hirt
also scored 3 times in a 10-2 win over Sandburg on Wednesday.
Matt Bresnahan/Tommy McGuire (Fenwick)
Bresnahan led the Friars with 10 goals and McGuire stopped 27 shots to
help Fenwick take second place at the DeSmet Tournament over the weekend.
Bresnahan also recorded 5 goals in the Friars' 14-9 win over St Ignatius
on Monday.
Max Romanelli/Matt Leffler (Niles West)
Romanelli scored 15 goals and Leffler blocked 41 shots to help Niles West
finish 3-1 at the St Patrick Tournament with wins over Brother Rice,
Fremd, and LWE.
Mike McWhirter (Waubonsie Valley)
The Warriors' senior totaled 24 goals and 24 steals at the St Patrick
Tournament, helping Waubonsie finish the event with a 3-1 record.
Quinn Johnson (Bremen)
Johnson scored 21 goals to lead Bremen to a 4-0 record and a their own
tournament title with wins over Argo, Bradley, Maine East, and STC East.
He also scored 10 times in a win over LWW on Monday and added 6 more in
Tuesday's victory over Shepard.
Seth Hughes (Whitney Young)
Hughes racked up 30 goals to lead all scorers at the St Patrick Tournament
by a wide margin. He also tallied 7 scores in Tuesday night's win over Von
Steuben.
GIRLS
Christine Juhas/Kellie Franke (Elk Grove)
Juhas totaled 10 goals and Franke saved 36 shots to help Elk Grove finish
in third place at their own tournament on Saturday. Franke also made 24
saves in wins over BG and Resurrection during the week. Juhas also tallied
3 scores in Monday's win over Buffalo Grove.
Devika Joshi (Libertyville)
Joshi scored 12 goals to help the Wildcats finish 4-0 and win the Elk
Grove Tournament with wins over the hosts, Maine East, Deerfield, and
Meadows.
Danijela Jackovich/Liz Klock (LWC)
The Knights' duo combined to score 28 goals in a tourney-winning
performance at St Viator over the weekend. The two players also scored 6
goals in Tuesday's win over Bradley, while Klock tallied 3 scores and
Jackovich added 2 goals in Thursday's win over Stagg.
Madison Nervig/Erin Reagan (Naperville Central)
Nervig led the Redhawks with 9 goals and Reagan stopped 29 shots as
Naperville Central finished in third place at the Jenison Tournament, only
losing to Michigan's top-ranked team by one goal in triple overtime.
Nervig also scored 3 goals and Reagan
Maria Protic/Sandra Keitlinska (Maine East)
Protic and Kietlinska combined to score 18 goals to help the Blue Demons
finish in second place at Elk Grove with a 3-1 record.
Sarah Stern (STC North)
Stern recorded 16 goals to help the North Stars earn wins over Buffalo
Grove, Maine South, and St Viator and finish in third place at the St
Viator Tournament.
