Salek combined to score 23 goals in wins over McHenry, Schaumburg, and
Whitney Young.
JP French (Fremd)
French scored a tournament-high 24 goals to help Fremd finish in third
place at the Mundelein Tournament. He also tallied 6 scores in an 11-6 win
over Schaumburg during the week.
Kyle Phillips (Elk Grove)
Phillips scored the game-winning goal in the Grenadiers' last-second win
over Prospect and totaled 14 goals during Elk Grove's perfect (2-0) week.
Dan Oldendorf (Lockport)
Oldendorf scored 19 goals to help the Porters claim second place at the
Mundelein Tournament over the weekend. He also scored 5 times in Tuesday's
win over Bradley and put in 5 goals in Wednesday's win over LWW.
Dano Johnson/Jason Bartha/Joey Ryan (New Trier)
The Trevians' trio scored a total of 19 goals over the weekend to help the
Trevians win the Mundelein Tournament. Bartha also scored 5 times and Ryan
added 3 scores in New Trier's 16-8 victory over Maine South on Thursday.
Mark Hallman/Nathan Pimentel (Oak Park)
Hallman and Pimentel totaled 18 goals as the Huskies' beat Ladue, MICDS,
and Parkway West over the weekend at the Stevenson Tournament.
Matt Dejewski/Ryan O'Toole (Hinsdale South)
The Hornets' duo recorded 27 goals at the Schaumburg Tournament over the
weekend, including a seventh-place game win over Whitney Young where they
both registered 5 goals.
Mike McWhirter (Waubonsie Valley)
McWhirter recorded 14 goals to help the Warriors finish with three wins
and a draw at the Niles West Tournament over the weekend.
Mitchell Sokolsky/Taylor Baretz (Stevenson)
Sokolsky and Baretz combined to score 21 goals as the Patriots went 3-0 at
their own tournament with wins over Ladue, MICDS, and Parkway West.
Nick Opfer/Steven Renko (Niles West)
Opfer came up big with 12 saves in the Wolves' 11-8 title game win over
DeLaSalle, while Renko led the team with 13 goals in the four-game Niles
West Tournament. Renko also scored 5 times in a win over Maine East on
Thursday.
Seth Hughes (Whitney Young)
Hughes totaled 29 goals to lead all scorers at the four-game Schaumburg
Tournament over the weekend.
GIRLS
Alexana Astor (New Trier)
Astor scored 6 goals in Tuesday's 10-4 win over GBS and put in 6 scores in
the Trevians' 17-4 triumph over Maine South on Thursday in a key CSL
fixture.
Alexa Zajac/Kathryn Noonan (Elk Grove)
The Grenadiers' duo scored 8 goals in Monday's 10-8 win over Prospect and
repeated the same feat in a 15-0 victory over Meadows on Thursday.
Allison Travetto/Brittany Gartenberg (Stevenson)
The Patriots' duo combined to score 18 goals in wins over Evanston,
Neuqua, and Lyons to help their squad claim the Lyons Tournament title on
Saturday.
Baylee Cabrera (Lake View)
Cabrera scored 14 total goals in victories over Mather and Prosser during
Week 3.
Jillian Eiken (Naperville North)
Eiken scored 3 key goals as the Huskies beat Fremd on Monday, then led the
team with 4 scores in an 11-2 victory over Waubonsie Valley.
Kelly Meckert (Barrington)
Meckert led the Fillies in scoring in Week 3 with 13 goals in wins over
Palatine and Schaumburg (and an overtime loss to Mundelein).
