Sandburg Removed As Sectional Host

In the latest development, Sandburg HS has been removed as a sectional host, just one day after being named along with Palatine as one of the final two locations for this May's playoffs.

When the sectional hosts were announced in March, six locations were named and two remained listed as TBA. A few weeks later, the IHSA released the assignments for each school. On May 10, Palatine and Sandburg were listed as hosts without any other changes. Later in the day, however, Sandburg was moved from the Lincoln-Way Central location to their own site.
