A New
Season Begins...
By Aaron
Brown
The Mission
I started the site back in 2003 because there was a
lack of information available for water polo compared to many of the other
sports in the state. Nine years and more than 6 million pageviews later,
I'd say mission accomplished thus far.
The mission has not changed; recognizing athletes that
work so hard playing the toughest sport offered at the high school level
remains the main goal of the site. Keep reading to find out how you can
help.
Sources and
Information
The site relies on various sources to submit information. A general rule I
always recommend following is that if you don't see it on the site, it
probably has not been submitted. Don't be afraid to send information and
don't always assume that someone else has taken the time to do so.
Donations
This year probably more than ever, donations are helpful in keeping the
site going strong. Read the donations link on the top of the page to find
out how you can help by making a contribution.
Game Schedules
Game and tournament schedules were posted around the beginning of
February. Undoubtedly, changes and additions have been made since then, so
if you notice anything that needs be adjusted, please submit and it will
be updated as quickly as possible.
Preseason Projections
Preseason projections and rankings are primarily based on information from the 2011
season. Much has happened in the nine months since the last game was
played, so things will shake out as always after the few weeks of the
season.
Team
Previews
Similar to the preseason projections, team previews are
based on available information from the previous season. In some cases,
players can be mistaken as having graduated and vice versa, so if there is
anything that seems off, let me know.
And finally...
Good luck to all teams and players as we embark on
another great water polo season!
