Biggest
Surprises
BOYS
Maine South Is For Real

in the season when they stunned then #11 GBS. Monday, the Hawks upset #15
Fremd and solidified their candidacy for the team no one will want to face
in next week's playoffs.
Niles West Beats Evanston
The climb has been steady, but the Wolves continued
their upward trajectory by beating Evanston 13-11 on Friday in the CSL
quarterfinal round.
GIRLS
Maine South Advances To CSL Final
The Hawks have been quite good this year, finishing
third in the CSL and finishing above .500 for the first time in team
history. But to make it to the conference finals with two straight wins
already? Impressive.
Sandburg Grabs Share of SWSC Blue Title
The Eagles trailed rivals H-F by one game entering the
final week of the season, plus they had to face both the Vikings and
Lincoln-Way Central in Week 9. They responded by beating the Knights 11-6

with the Vikings.
