BOYS
Charlie Dowdle (Loyola)
Dowdle tossed in 8 goals to help the Ramblers' win their showdown with New
Trier 17-8 on Wednesday in a battle of Top 10 teams.
Mitch Phelps (STC East)
Phelps (4 goals) scored the game-winning goal in overtime as STC East
outlasted GBN 14-13 on Thursday night.
GIRLS
Ashley Henderson (Latin)
Henderson scored the game-winning goal in overtime and put in 8 total
scores to lead the Romans past Resurrection 10-8.
Caleigh Panice/Laura Freeman (Andrew)
Panice scored the game-tying goal in the closing seconds of regulation and
Freeman slammed home the sudden-death overtime game-winner as Andrew
stunned LWW 12-11.
Kristy Bessler (Schaumburg)
Bessler slammed home the game-winner to help the Saxons hold off Buffalo
Grove 4-3 on Thursday night.
Top Goalie Performances
BOYS
Michael Shabel (Naperville North)
Shabel came up big in the Huskies' 8-7 victory over Sandburg on Saturday,
blocking 14 shots in a tightly-contested affair. He also limited Fremd to
just 6 scores in the title game of North's own tournament, finishing the
day with a 3-0 record.
Ryan Haman (Conant)
Haman contributed 26 saves and 10 steals to the Cougars'
tournament-winning performance at GBS on Saturday.
GIRLS
Jessica Davis (Conant)
Davis made 43 saves to help the Cougars finish 3-0 at the GBS Tournament.
She also earned a 12-0 shutout win over Meadows on Thursday and made 21
saves in Monday's 10-5 triumph over Hinsdale Central.
Jordan Bartolini (Andrew)
Bartolini pitched a second-half shutout in the T-Bolts 13-4 win over
Waubonsie and recorded 21 saves in a 12-11 overtime victory over LWW late
in the week.

Bradley Cools Off LWN
Lincoln-Way North's red-hot start was put on ice when
they lost a conference game to Bradley 10-8 on Thursday night
Conant and Hinsdale Central Surprise GBS
The Cougars and Red Devils both went to GBS and beat
the Titans over the weekend, a team that came into the event with a 7-2-1
record.
GIRLS
STC North Makes Their Move
The North Stars beat both Metea Valley and Neuqua
Valley in Week 5 to deservedly jump to the #20 spot in this week's
rankings.
News and Notes
Competition Season Heats Up
Now that Spring Break and Easter weekend are complete,
it is time for the competition season to really pick up. Week 6 has over
140 games and 14 tournaments on the schedule as teams start making serious
preparations for the postseason.
