The following is a summary of what took place during the second week of the season. This is not a complete list and we can only include a few people in this summary, but the purpose is to recognize a few of the best performances from each week.

Koulouris recorded 7 goals to help the Red Devils knock off Neuqua Valley in overtime 11-10 on Wednesday.

GIRLS

Abbey Kerth (Naperville Central)

Kerth connected on a backhand goal in triple-overtime to lift the Redhawks to a 5-4 title game win over Fenwick at their own tournament.

Katie Manning (Vernon Hills)

Manning's final-minute goal in overtime sealed a 12-11 win for the Cougars in a hard-fought battle with Maine South.

Megan Hofer (Andrew)

Hofer's goal in the final minute of regulation sealed a 4-3 win over STC North and sent the T-Bolts to the title game of the North Stars' Tournament.

Top Goalie Performances

BOYS

Tom Meyer (Glenbrook South)

Meyer recorded 40 saves to lead GBS to their own tourney title and a 4-0-1 record over the weekend. He also allowed just 4 total goals in wins over Maine East and Maine West.

GIRLS

Brooke Fanslow (Barrington)

Fanslow made 39 saves in wins over Mundelein, Hoffman, and Palatine and has allowed just 6 goals per game during the Fillies' 5-0 start.

Julia Campbell (Naperville Central)

Campbell made 61 saves and allowed 9 goals in NC's title-winning weekend. For more information, see Super Ballers.

Biggest Surprises

BOYS

Oak Park, Neuqua, and Stevenson Beat Brother Rice

One tournament does not a season make, but these three teams will surely gain loads of confidence from beating one of the state's perennial favorites at the Fenwick Tournament.

Hinsdale Central Stuns Neuqua In Overtime

It hasn't taken long for the Red Devils to rebuild, as their OT win over Neuqua Valley on Wednesday should prove.

GIRLS

Naperville Central Defeats Fenwick

#2 beating #1 shouldn't seem like a big surprise, only it has never happened before in this case, with NC claiming their own tournament title with a 5-4 win over Fenwick.

Barrington Edges Mundelein

The Fillies showed their undefeated start was no fluke by surprising Mundelein 8-7 on Monday night.
