Dylan Clohessy /Lucas Matthys (McHenry)
Clohessy totaled 9 goals, including a last-minute goal on a penalty shot,
as the Warriors nearly outgunned Stevenson in the Palatine Sectional
final. He scored 17 total goals at the event. Meanwhile, Matthys totaled
12 goals in wins over Lake Forest and Palatine and in the loss to the
Patriots.
John Baker (Lake Forest)
Baker led the Scouts with 5 goals in a 12-11 double-overtime win over
Libertyville in the sectional quarterfinals and added 6 scores in a
semifinal loss to McHenry on Friday night.
Randy Carr (Schaumburg)
The Saxons' leading scorer totaled 11 goals in last week's sectionals,
helping Schaumburg advance to the title game after wins over Barrington
and Conant.
Juan Valdez/Kevin Peterson (Stagg)
Valdez scored 4 goals and Peterson added 2 scores in the Chargers 11-9
semifinal upset of Brother Rice, then Peterson scored 4 times and Valdez
notched 3 scores in a one-goal loss to Sandburg in the sectional final
game.
Brayden Amendola/Tym Zymon (St Ignatius)
Amendola netted 6 goals in a 19-14 semifinal win over DLS and contributed
5 scores in the Wolfpack's 14-10 sectional finals loss to Latin.
Meanwhile, Zymon blocked a total of 21 shots in the two games for SICP.
Dan Kelly (Fenwick)
Kelly notched 4 scores in the Friars 14-9 semifinal win over Oak Park and
added 3 goals in Fenwick's 8-7 loss to Lyons in the sectional final game
at York.
