Consolation Game: St Ignatius 12 Mother McAuley 4

LINCOLNSHIRE, IL - St Ignatius closed out their season with a 12-4 over Mother McAuley to claim third place in the state of Illinois on Saturday evening. The Wolfpack trailed the Mighty Macs 1-0 after the first period of play, but used a big 5-1 run in the second quarter to turn the game on its' head and pull away from their rivals in the second half.

Stephanie Fernandez recorded 5 goals and Kate Stelnicki totaled 4 scores and 13 steals as the Wolfpack defense held McAuley scoreless for a ten-minute stretch between the first and second half. Becky Insalaco, Maggie Maloney, and Megan Murphy each added one score in the win for Mike Cashman's squad.

Vicky Arcinieaga scored 3 times and Jackie Knightly added one score in the loss for the fourth-place Mighty Macs.
