Matt Farmer's heroics helped the Friars win the Stevenson Tournament, as
his goal with 1:20 remaining gave Fenwick a 7-6 win over #3 Naperville
Central 7-6. He led the team with 11 goals at the event, including 4
scores against NC and 3 goals in an 8-6 win over #2 Lyons on Friday night.
He also scored 5 goals in a 17-11 win over Latin on Tuesday.
Newell made 36 saves at the Stevenson Tourney, helping the Friars claim
the event's title with four wins over ranked opponents. In the
championship round, he made 11 saves, including two penalty shot blocks,
in Fenwick's 12-6 win over Brother Rice. He also made 11 saves in a 7-6
win over Naperville Central, which included a key save and a key steal in
the final minutes of the game.

Altuve and Rickert both scored 10 goals to lead Central to a second place
finish at the Stevenson Tournament. Rickert scored 6 times in the
Redhawks' 15-13 win over Brother Rice on Saturday evening, both players
scored 3 times in a win over Mundelein, and Altuve scored 2 keys goals in
NC's 7-6 loss to #1 Fenwick.
Rickert also scored 6 goals in Central's 9-4 win over H-F on Thursday.

Emma Martinus/Nora Plank
(Bremen)
Plank scored 11 goals and Martinus totaled 10 scores to help Bremen win
the Independent Conference tournament on Saturday. The pair also combined
to score 11 goals in the Red Jaguars' 16-4 win over Latin earlier in the
week.
