Pikula and
Mulcrone recorded 29 goals in four games at the Brother Rice Tournament,
leading the Crusaders to victories over Lockport, Loyola, Sandburg, and St
Patrick en route to a tournament title and 4-0 weekend record.
Earlier in the week, Mulcrone also scored 5 times in a 12-8 win over Loyola.
Mary Reilly
(Lincoln-Way East)
Reilly helped lead the Griffins to their own tournament title over the
weekend; she was instrumental in the team's wins over Andrew, LWN, and
Richards on Friday and Saturday.
In the opening round, Reilly totaled 5 goals and 4 assists in a 10-3 win
over LWN. In the semifinals, she contributed 3 scores in a 13-7 win over
Andrew. In the final game, she tallied a goal, 3 assists, and 3 steals in
a 10-7 victory over Richards.
She recorded 9 goals at the tournament, leading LWE to a 3-0 mark for the
weekend and helping the team improve to 5-1 on the season.
Earlier in the week, she scored 7 goals to help the Griffins beat Andrew
13-9 in conference play.
Trisha Paul (Lincoln-Way East)
Paul finished the week with a 5-0 record in goal for the Griffins while
also playing a big role in helping the team win its' own tournament title
over the weekend.
She made a total of 20 saves in Friday night wins over LWN and Andrew,
then stopped 7 shots in a 10-7 title game win over Richards.
She made 16 saves in Tuesday's 13-9 win over Andrew and combined to make
20 saves in an 11-7 victory over LWW on Thursday.
