Keep an eye out for the following players throughout the rest of the 2011
season:
BOYS
Connor Black (Mundelein)
The Mundelein sophomore totaled 17 goals in the
five-game Schaumburg Tournament, leading the Mustangs to a 3-2 record
against Missouri teams.
John Adams (Foreman)
Adams scored 13 goals at the Northside Tournament to
help the Hornets finish with a 1-1-1 record and a fifth place finish. He
totaled 6 scores in a 17-11 win over Morgan Park in the team's final game
on Saturday, while also registering 5 goals in a 7-7 draw with Von
Steuben.
Juan Laboy (Von Steuben)
Laboy scored 8 goals over the weekend at the Northside
Tournament, helping the Panthers finish in second place at the event.
GIRLS
Claire Bultema
(STC North)
Bultema totaled 9 goals in wins over Hinsdale South and
STC East during the third week of the season.
Erin McCook
(Stevenson)
McCook has been an important factor for the Stevenson
offensive attack, as she netted goals this week against Evanston, Fenwick,
Lyons, and Mundelein.
Nayeli Langarica
(Young)
Langarica scored 6 times to lead Young to a 13-6 win
over Morgan Park; the Dolphins' leading scorer should play a major role in
the team's push for another CPS title in 2011.
