Thursday Preview
The first night of the tournament has plenty of
enticing games to follow, with the battle between #4 Lyons and #6 Brother
Rice serving as the main event at 5:20pm. Prior to that, #1 Fenwick meets
up with Catholic League rival St Pat's in the tournament opener.
Of course, the third game between Curie and H-F is a
rematch of last week's championship round game from the Palatine
Tournament, where the teams finished tied at 11-11 when Shay Banton scored
in the closing seconds of regulation. Expect another close encounter the
second time around.
In the later games, #5 Oak Park takes on #16 Stevenson,
#2 St Ignatius matches up with #26 Lincoln-Way East, and H-F takes on #19
St Patrick in the nightcap.
Friday Preview
The Friars get things started on Friday in an
intriguing contest against #7 Curie at 4:00pm. That is followed by what
looks like the best matchup of the night on paper between #3 Naperville
Central and #5 Oak Park.
Five more games are to follow, which will help paint a
better picture of how the schedule will look in the championship round.
The rest of the Friday schedule includes:
-
#4 Lyons vs #21 Neuqua
-
#2 St Ignatius vs #20 Naperville North
-
#3 Naperville Central vs #17 Stevenson
-
#6 Brother Rice vs #21 Neuqua
-
#20 Naperville North vs #26 Lincoln-Way East
