News and Notes
State Quarterfinal Brackets Announced
The IHSA announced the state quarterfinal brackets last
Friday. The random draw lines up the sectional winners in the opening
round at the state tournament and also lines up who will play in the
semifinal rounds. Look familiar? The pairings are the EXACT SAME on both
the boys' and girls' sides from 2010. What are the odds of that happening?
Sectional Seeds Determined This Thursday
The sectional seeds and pairings will be determined
later this week, with complete playoff brackets and schedules coming soon
after all coaches have voted.
