Hernadez totaled 13 goals and Huerta added 10 scores in two preliminary
round wins at the Northside Tournament on Saturday. Hernandez scored 8
times in a 17-6 win over Morgan Park, while both players scored 5 goals in
a 13-10 victory over Lane.
Kyle Pikula
(Brother Rice)
Pikula led the Crusaders to a 12-11 victory over Strake Jesuit (TX) with 5
goals on Saturday morning.
Mike Gergen
(Schaumburg)
Gergen scored 23 goals in the Schaumburg Tournament, helping the Saxons
finish their own event with a 3-2 record against Missouri-based teams.
Will Porter
(Glenbrook South)
Porter totaled 5 goals to help the Titans earn a 9-8 victory over Loyola
on Tuesday.
GIRLS
Alex White
(Waubonsie Valley)
White provided the game-winner in the last minute of WV's 8-7 win over
Naperville North. She also tallied 2 goals in the win for the Warriors.

(Vernon Hills)
Chen's game-winning goal came in the final seconds of the Cougars' 11-10
come-from-behind victory over Libertyville. Meanwhile, Lebiedzinski
recorded 6 goals, including 3 straight scores in the final period, to lead
the Vernon Hills comeback.
Carrie Nacht (Lyons)
Nacht scored the game-winning goal in Lyons' 8-6 win over Stevenson on
Saturday, while also scoring 3 times in the victory. She also scored 3 times in the
Lions' 12-4 win over Evanston.
Gena Wendt
(Fenwick)
Wendt scored the game-winning goal late in the final period as Fenwick
went to Stevenson and earned an 11-9 win on Tuesday. She scored 3 goals in
the win for the Friars.
Grace Trilla/Kirby Kaptur (Lyons)
Trilla and Kaptur's defensive performance at their own event on Saturday
helped Lyons finish with a 3-0 record. In three games, the LT defense
allowed just 14 goals.
They also did their part to help the offense as well. With Lyons trailing
Waubonsie 3-1 in the first half, Kaptur scored two straight goals to even
things up. Then, Trilla made a save and assisted Lizzy Kosin with a
perfect lead pass for a breakaway goal that give LT their first lead of
the game.
Kaptur also scored 2 goals and Trilla made 9 saves in the Lions' 12-4
victory over Evanston.
