Nearing game time between the two MCAC teams. This time a state title berth is the reward for the winning team. Here are the starting lineups...

Juarez wins the swimoff and Ignatius earns a quick ejection...and Wrobel scores from 7m to give Ignatius an early lead!

Juarez with a steal, and Wrobel comes open at 2m on the other end and scores his second goal to make it 2-0

Fratto denies Rigali's shot from 4m

Alvarado drives to 2m and earns a penalty. He converts the shot and the Wolfpack have a remarkable 3-0 lead

Osborne draws an ejection, but Fratto is there to make a save

Fratto again makes a save, passes ahead to Turek, but his backhand attempt goes wide left

Brown with a steal, but Osborne's shot from 2m is saved by Fratto

Turek feeds Barth on a drive towards the right post and finds the back of the net from close range

Huening tries to get position at 2m but Juarez comes over to earn a steal

Ignatius just misses a fifth goal as they hit the crossbar on their next attempt

Rigali with a steal at 2m, but the Fenwick counter is broken up by Fratto, who comes out of the net to make a steal

Osborne drives to 2m and scores to put Fenwick on the scoreboard!

Neither team can get much going in the final minute...

...so it's the fast start from St Ignatius that gives them a 4-1 lead over Fenwick after seven minutes

Ignatius starts with it, but Francisco is in position to make a save on a close range shot to start the period

Brown is open in transition on the left side and patiently waits for Rigali's drive and feeds him on Fenwick's second goal

Osborne draws an ejection and Huening makes them pay with a goal from 5m

Quick steal by Osborne, then Rigali finds Farmer open in front and the freshman ties the game for Fenwick!

Rigali with a perimeter steal and he fights off two defenders to score on the breakaway!

Fenwick's defense has put the clamps down in the Ignatius' attack, as Osborne earns another steal at 2m

Farmer scores his second goal on a drive and Fenwick's 5-0 run gives them a two-goal advantage

Rigali earns a steal; Osborne draws an ejection and Rigali drops a shot in off the crossbar from 5m!

Fratto catches a lob attempt by Rigali and Juarez almost gets a chance from 2m but the ball is deflected away as the first half comes to a close

So a 4-0 start for St Ignatius is erased by a 6-1 second period run by the defending champions!

Ignatius gets the ball first but Farmer make s steal on one end and lobs a shot in from the left post on the other end to give Fenwick an 8-4 lead!

Francisco blocks a shot attempt by Alvarado; Herbstritt shoots over the goal on the other end for Fenwick

The teams trade possessions with no scoring in the next minute of play

Alvarado draws an ejection and Moore records his first goal from the right side to make the score 8-5

Barth lofts a shot over the goal from 7m and Fenwick takes over possession

Osborne draws an ejection, but Fratto denies an outside shot attempt by Farmer

Rigali earns a steal on the perimeter but it comes to nothing on the other end

Farmer records his fourth goal from inside 5m and Fenwick now leads 9-5

And Farmer is left open again outside 5m and he hits the left corner of the net to put the Friars on top 10-5!

Alvarado responds with a goal on the other end to slice the lead down to 10-6

Francisco makes a save at the end of the period and Fenwick leads 11-6 with one quarter left to play!

Osborne's sweep shot goes wide right and St Ignatius looks to counter

Herbstritt blocks Moore's shot from 5m and Fenwick heads the other way with the ball

Osborne draws an ejection and Rigali scores from the right side to put Fenwick ahead 12-7

Juarez tries to tip a shot in from the left post but it's deflected out of play by Fenwick

Dan scores after an ejection midway through the fourth period and Fenwick takes a 13-7 lead

Francisco comes out of the net to earn a steal; Osborne scores on the other end to make it 14-7

Heuning forces a turnover after the Wolfpack tried to counter

Brown earns a penalty shot and coverts the chance to put the Friars in control with a late 15-7 advantage

Bresnahan scores from the right side after an ejection for Fenwick

Juarez adds a late goal for the Wolfpack

And Fenwick advances to their seventh straight title game with a 16-8 win over St Ignatius!
